We Need Unity More Than Ever

— By GJIN JAKU, member of the Party of Labour in NB Lezhë Pluralism has not fallen into its own hands, where above all among political parties reason, humanity, humanism, etc. must prevail. Here debate is speaking and hit the other before he flattens you, the authoritarians, the chaos and the noise leave you in the ear of the uninformed, the most vital self-organ and the success to prolong the pores of one. There is nothing wrong with it, on the contrary it brings national cohesion to the population? Let us say, yes, will they rise? since it is the free sale of products and the eye hours, above all it leads to the catastrophe of the hours of different parties or associations? Many and the created understand these issues in different ways, without connection among themselves. This is felt especially by us in the south, for participation and for maintaining order, especially in the election rallies and demonstrations that are taking place in the country. However, in the community of cultures and defense today it is to follow the rapid rise of the quantities and the proper measure and the popular vote in Lezhë, Drin-PD-1? or 3? as much as they fit in our district, let us do as much as possible to preserve calm, to avoid getting into blows, to let their own political quarrels come down quietly. If some comrades, despite the fact that, as the people say (we do not bring it to you because they find it, but to find even one), try to provoke or spread bad words, we must not fall prey to them. We call with understanding on all ages, workers, students, youth, the elderly, women, to preserve the calm of our wise and prudent people. Let us protect ourselves and not become prey to the enemies of Albania. They want to create division and set us against one another. We support the idea of the people and of freedom of thought, but not violence and anarchy. Work and production are above all else. The future of the country and of our children depends on calm, on moderation and on honest work. Can any government or any society honestly and benevolently allow everything to be left unattended? These are important issues that require wisdom. In concrete problems, moderation and faith in our own strength are needed. The citizens of Lezhë and of the whole country must show prudence and live together as brothers. Only in this way will we emerge from difficulties. With this writing we make an appeal for calm and understanding, for unity and dialogue, so that reason may prevail and not violence. Today more than ever, understanding and the preservation of calm are required. As far as I have managed to argue in simple words, all of it, but what every person should feel: Albania needs social peace, work and cooperation.

How Does Teacher Shpresa Elezi Come to This Year’s 7 March?

Four years ago I met, together with the most outstanding communist agronomist-teacher and writer, Shpresa Elezi. On that occasion we wished her success at the beginning of her work as a teacher. She had graduated with very good results from the agricultural higher school, but in order to follow the profession of teaching she had left that profession. We took an interest in this and valued her as an example to follow. Indeed, as time showed, she carried out the work of a teacher successfully and with passion. Then, as a teacher, Shpresa works with students, but with ours she raises and works with those who are in difficulty. She has traveled the long road from 80 km in all weather and seasons to give lessons. This is a great sacrifice and proof of her lofty spirit. She works with sincerity and great care in teaching. As the poet A. Z. Çajupi wrote: “Even a spark is enough to light a furnace, but if you set it ablaze, it will burn the whole universe.” These documents are valuable. These works and lessons are valuable for educating the younger generation. Especially in these days that we are giving in the continuation of development, as well as to the teacher and for the work for the date of 7 March. As a tribute to her high conduct, our good teacher has been appointed a candidate for deputy in the elections of 31 March. She represents our school and our teaching profession with dignity. Besides this, she is a simple woman and a loving mother to her family. She educates by example herself, being orderly, moderate and devoted. These days, on 7 March, we take the opportunity to wish her wholeheartedly for this significant day and to wish her success in her further work. (To be continued on page 4)
