Military maneuvers on the island of Sazan

On Thursday morning at 11 o’clock, President Berisha, accompanied by Minister Zhuhali, arrived at the military base on Sazan to take part in the air-force maneuvers conducted by the Kuçova base with the naval forces of this Sazan base and the one in Vlora. After many years, this type of exercise was carried out with live ammunition. The maneuvers began with heavy artillery fire, attacks from aircraft in the air, and the movements of torpedo boats at sea. Then machine guns and flamethrowers also went into action, accompanied by pairs of aircraft attacking from the air.
Commander of the Armed Forces Sali Berisha addressed the participants in the maneuvers at the end.

At the meeting the president held with the military personnel after the maneuvers ended, he spoke about the issue of the families of Sazan:
“We are committed to respecting the human rights of these families because they do not have the conditions needed to live on the island. Here, I tell you that all the families will leave the island. When will they leave? We will build apartment buildings for you; we will provide you with the necessary conditions. There are no humane living conditions here for people, for the officers’ families. There are no school facilities for their children, whereas they were asking us to remove them because their husbands, some of them, are military personnel personally [unclear]. The activity of multi-agents in the PD continues
At one of the recent meetings of the PD parliamentary group, on the night before Teodor Keko announced his departure from the group, Mr. Keko was called a P.I.A.N.E.C in his absence by one of the country’s leading figures.
The fact that this shocking secret has come out shows that, despite the departure of some PD «agents» from the group, spies continue to operate among the PD’s current MPs.

Ever since I became aware that I have a name and a nationality, I have sought to achieve two things in my life:
To provide for my family with my humaneness and to leave my children a good name. It goes without saying that my family consists of people of Albanian nationality.
I have achieved both of these aims, and they were not achieved through the PD. Even if the PD leadership were interested in sabotaging these aims, it would be completely powerless to influence them. Therefore, my statement is motivated solely by political reasons, not by economic or careerist ones.
A 17-year-old Albanian girl raped

A fishing boat from Monopoli detained in Albania
The Italian motorboat «Occio di falco» was seized by the local police of Vlora last Saturday while fishing illegally in our territorial waters.
There were seven people on board from Monopoli, including the 55-year-old captain, Cosimo Tarantino. Last Monday, the crew members’ families waited in tears.
