Former head of the PPSH Central Committee Press Office, Meh(m)et Elezi, accuses former Deputy Prime Minister Pashko of drug corruption

In the New York newspaper «Illyria», in an article hastily written by the former head of the Press sector of the PPSH Central Committee and former head of the PPSH Central Committee’s Youth Department, now an adviser to President Berisha, Mr. Mehmet Elezi writes, among other things, that former government officials may have been involved in the drug trade in Albania. He mentions Mr. Pashko, who has been accused by the press of being a smuggler. With a rather clumsy skill, but without a single fact, he calls him a possible participant in this scandal. What, one wonders, does Gramoz Pashko think of this statement? Although this is an accusation without evidence, it is nonetheless a serious accusation, all the more so because it was made outside Albania. But how true is it? It remains for the accused party, that is, Mr. Pashko, to comment in the press on whether the PPSH press chief’s accusation is true or not. Read on page 5

Pjetër Arbnori asks for police assistance

During the parliamentary session the night before last, while the lifting of Ilir Meta’s immunity was being discussed, following a retort by MP Ndre Legisi, Pjetër Arbnori shouted loudly (as loudly as Pjetër could shout): «Police, police, take him outside, outside, outside, usher, take him out, take him out.» When he saw that nobody moved, Pjetër declared: «The session is suspended,» and went outside himself.
