Shkodër Police officers arrested

—A criminal group exists. Police on alert Recent arrests are believed to shed light on many recent crimes committed in Shkodër, including the murder of Robert Kici, the kidnapping of more than 15 million lek from currency exchange dealer Basha, the kidnapping of 1.5 million lek from post office employee Fatbardha Kallogjeri, etc. Suspicions that a criminal group exists within this police force have put its members on alert. Further arrests are expected following those of Kriostot Koritori, 24, Edmond Tuçia, 32, Fatbardh Shpuza, and Bujar Agraja. There are also two other people who have been arrested. In the statement issued by the public order department, they are described as former police officers, although until the last few days two of them had been police employees, while the other two had left only three weeks earlier, having been hired six or seven months ago. Sources at the police station speak of interference in the next steps, even by people holding government positions, to the extent that the names of those arrested are being kept secret by the investigative authorities, ostensibly to avoid compromising the investigation.
