The “war” against the Cassation continues The notorious article 24/1 is applied again page 4

I will never appear before the Constitutional Court

From yesterday’s confrontation meeting between Brozi and the citizens An unusual crowd of people gathered yesterday at 9:00 a.m. at the Court of Cassation, at the announced confrontation meeting of Chairman Brozi with citizens and state entities, who had complaints about the suspension of judicial decisions by him. At this meeting, held immediately after the Government’s lawsuit against Brozi in the Constitutional Court over this issue, no government official responded to the invitation, and to everyone’s surprise none of the dozens of people mentioned in the lawsuit, who are also its object, appeared at the meeting. In the meeting with journalists, Mr. Brozi made harsh accusations against certain state segments which, according to the President of the Cassation, had begun against him and the institution he leads an unfair attack, culminating, with the lawsuit against him, in an anti-constitutional institution called the Constitutional Court. page 3

Criminal proceedings sought against Meksi and Frashëri

Accused by the PS of falsifying official documents From sources close to the Socialist Party, we learn that the party’s legal specialists, after studying the materials related to the submission to the government on 28.07.1995 of the amendments for changes to the Code of Criminal Procedure or the so-called anti-Nano law, found that Prime Minister Meksi and Justice Minister Frashëri had carried out irregular actions and had falsified documents concerning the draft submitted to Parliament, allegedly as if it had been approved at a special government meeting. The review of the materials showed that this fact is not true, an act which requires the above-mentioned persons, namely the prime minister and the minister of justice, to be charged with falsification as предусмотрено in article 186 of the Penal Code. The above news was confirmed yesterday to “KJ” by the PS legal specialists, Fehmi Abdiu and Spartak Braho.
