Everyone outside the PD is an enemy

For the PS it is a misfortune that its leader Fatos Nano is in prison In today’s parliament there are former spies and informers, there are political prostitutes of yesterday and today, whom public opinion knows. Most of these faces will no longer be there I have declared that I will be in politics. I have been, I am and I will be. My temporary departure does not mean that I am leaving politics. Indeed, my trip to Washington, among other things, serves politics. Once again I stress that I am not emigrating to America, I am not going on holiday, I am not going to some camping site, but I am going to the institute near the American Congress, with a clear objective: to prepare a publication in America which, I am convinced, will be far more useful to Albania in the future than a few months’ presence in Tirana. In Albanian politics, if for a few months I will not be a participant, I believe I will still be present. Interview with Dr Gramoz Pashko, before his departure from Albania pages 12-13

11 kg of narcotic plants seized

The traffickers escape the police DELVINË - Police officers from the Delvinë police station have managed to seize 11 kg of cannabis sativa narcotic plants, but not the traffickers. At midnight on Thursday, at the police checkpoint set up at the place called Shen-Jan, located between the cities of Delvinë and Sarandë, two cars with Gjirokastër plates, in an attempt to avoid the checkpoint and police inspection, crashed into the trees by the roadside. Taking advantage of the midnight darkness and the rain that was falling at the time, all the people in these two cars immediately fled in an unknown direction. During the inspection carried out at the scene, in one of the cars the police found 11 kilograms of cannabis sativa narcotic plants in a large travel bag. "The significant fact that the cannabis-sativa seeds came from Greece and were distributed to peasants, as well as the fact that their production was again intended for Greece, shows that trafficking in narcotic plants is now organized crime. Also, the extraordinary quantity that was planted shows that we are not dealing with sporadic cases. Taking into account that this traffic is already organized to the point of an industry, next summer is expected to be even more productive for the plant whose 1 kg costs almost 1 million old lekë," says to "KJ" a well-known criminalistics specialist in the South. 200 million dollars are expected soon

Funding for Albania via Puglia "The initiative toward Albania must finally move from words to facts," says Distaso, president of the Puglia region in Italy, at a press conference. Both Italy and the European Union have entrusted the Puglia region with the transfer of funds to Albania. In addition to geographical proximity, the very good relations between our country and this Italian region must also have influenced this decision. A broad financing package amounting to 200 million dollars is expected to begin soon. The sectors that will benefit from this money are tourism, the food industry, healthcare, etc. The disbursement of these funds will be carried out through joint Albanian-Italian companies. According to our official sources, the plans and projects to be included in this financing are almost ready.

The Vlora man’s wedding to the 14-year-old Greek girl is called off

Interpol intervenes, the girl was a minor Last night at 9:00 p.m. the wedding of 20-year-old Edmond Qarri from Mifoli, Vlora, who was to marry a 14-year-old Greek girl from Athens, Helen Idhica, was called off. This was done by the chief of the Mulosmani district police station, who was compelled to do so by the intervention of Interpol in Athens and the Secretary of the Greek Embassy in Tirana. After 5 hours of talks, in the presence of the boy and the girl and her parents, it was decided that the wedding be cancelled, since the girl was a minor. This is not allowed by Greek law, since she must remain under her parents’ care until the age of 18. But also through the intervention of the Greek embassy, a "golden mean" was found: visas were to be given to the groom and his parents. They must live in Athens for 5 years until the girl reaches marriageable age. At the moment when the 14-year-old was to head for the bridal chamber, she takes the road to Athens, leaving her beloved in the grip of the fantasy of the first night. ZENEPLE LUKA
