A ZP journalist: “Why aren’t demonstrations being organized...”
Since it lost the elections in March ’92, and especially after the imprisonment of its leader Nano, the Socialist Party has had only one enemy and one target: the PD and Berisha. What S. Pëllumbi said during the conference is very true: “The intolerance of the party in power means that relations between the governing party and the opposition continue to be conflictual.” But to emerge from this conflict, which can now be resolved only through early elections, it is not enough simply to go head-to-head with the party in power. It seems the Socialists have forgotten who overthrew the Nano 2 Government.

27-year-old woman dies accidentally

Another victim, Lolota Cobo, aged 27, a mother of three, died on 10 January 1995 after being accidentally poisoned. Perhaps it was the lack of lights that led her to mistakenly take the tablets intended to kill rats instead of aspirin. After feeling the first symptoms and realizing her mistake, she was rushed to hospital, but to no avail: she died a few hours later.
Mother of two stabbed to death

It is two women, both mothers, who have, unfortunately, found their way into the tragic chronicles of events in the city of Vlorë. Mimoza Simoni, aged 29, a mother of two, was stabbed by Mirjana Dalipi, aged 39, a mother of three. The killing was carried out suddenly at 7:30 in the morning and without any strong motive—in other words, without any prior quarrel. The two families had lived next door to one another for a long time.
On the morning of the day of the murder, the victim went to her neighbor Mirjana Dalipi’s house and was then stabbed in the abdomen by her inside the house. The victim’s husband took his wife to hospital, where it was not possible to save her life. The killer has been arrested and criminal proceedings have begun.
