Police stop former partisans
Yesterday veterans were not allowed to celebrate 29 November
Hundreds of veterans and PS members end up in isolation cells
Dokle: “Only Berisha’s police prevent people from being free”
The police—the true face of the state—not only has stopped the veteran pensioners; not only has threatened those who liberated Albania; not only has insulted and driven them apart, but many of them spent last night in the cells of police stations, after being arrested on charges of “disturbing public order.” This is a scandal. None of the former Albanian partisans had imagined that 29 November, which for them is the real day of liberation, was a forbidden day of celebration for those who for 50 years of history have celebrated it in the same way. And they cannot be disturbers of order at a time when they seek to honor the fathers, brothers, comrades who gave their lives for the Liberation of the country.

“Genocide No. 2” begins
Today Parliament will discuss the draft
The opposition does not oppose only the form of the law
Today the Albanian Parliament will be engulfed in the most tense debates in its history since the discussion of the “Nano” issue, since at 10:00 the debate on the files law is scheduled, also known as the law “On the verification of the image of public figures,” described by the opposition as an addition to the anti-genocide law. The PD will have to face the broad Socialist opposition as well as the premeditated speeches of Social Democratic and motionist leaders.

Two more firms robbed within 24 hours
The robbery series in the South continues
On Sunday at midnight it was the turn of the private wood-processing company F.P.K. to be robbed. The robbers had entered from the back of the factory. They struck the only guard of the factory with crowbars on the head and body, and he was later admitted in a coma to the surgery ward of the Gjirokastra hospital. One night later, in the center of the city, a shop selling winter sports clothing was also robbed, one that had only been operating for a few days.

Young democrats reveal the secret: Elections in March
We will do the campaign like Berlusconi
“On 9 December, the meeting of the FRPD Council, which had set March as a special period, we thought that for technical reasons the Congress should be postponed until the elections,” Altin Krasniqi, chairman of the FRPD, told “KJ” yesterday. However, until March, the Chairman of the FRPD will have a defined mission through the structures of the PD and the launching of a strategy through which the Democratic Youth will be fully engaged in the campaign.” According to Krasniqi, this commitment will aim to secure a pro-PD vote from 18% of Albanian young people voting for the first time, as well as from that part of the youth that is still indifferent and wavering.
