Fatos Nano, 15 hours free in mourning

Three hours before the ceremony, the permit is signed for the chairman of the PS Nano: “As the weapons were laid down for the dead, let them be laid down for the living too” Fatos Nano is released from prison. But this time only for 15 hours. It was perhaps an unexpected piece of news even for the most idealistic; beside him yesterday at the funeral ceremony of his 80-year-old mother, who had died the day before. Just 20 minutes before the scheduled time for the funeral ceremony, the deputy director general of prisons informed the family of his administration’s decision. The ceremony had to be postponed by 60 minutes from the scheduled time so that Mr. Nano could meet his mother, after 29 months, in his home, though now lifeless. More than 5,000 people escorted Marie Nano, and then expressions of condolences continued at the house until late after midnight. In addition to PS leaders and deputies, some of the most prominent intellectuals, as well as representatives of several opposition parties and the press, expressed their condolences. page 2,7 Fatos Nano speaks to journalists at his home: There will be no political purges in the next administration
