16 Kurdish clandestines arrested

Blocked by police in Peshkopi after crossing the border They were coming from Macedonia to go to Italy via Vlorë Blocked by police in Peshkopi after crossing the border 16 Kurdish clandestines arrested They were coming from Macedonia to go to Italy via Vlorë PESHKOPI - Albania continues once again to remain the route of foreign clandestines from East to West. Almost forgotten for months, only two days ago the phenomenon did not fail to reappear. After the tip-off, 16 Kurdish clandestines were stopped by a police checkpoint on the way to Vlorë. According to initial findings, their route was Macedonia-Albania-Italy. It was the police officers’ intervention at the place called Topojani Bridge that also cut short their western dream. It is not yet known whether the Kurds had been tipped off or whether old groups were behind them, “which had also previously done the work of illegal services”. R. E.
