“I have the mandate to represent the PD”
Yesterday, continuing the round of official meetings with President Romm Herzog, the leadership of the PD presented the final list of members who would take part in the reception at the Turkish embassy palace. The German Embassy in Tirana seems to have admired the Albanian decision not to invite the chairman and vice-chairman of the PD anymore, apart from other officials of that party. Following such a replacement with due correctness, the embassy announced that the chairman of the PD had notified by fax that the members of this party did not recognize them as party representatives. The news seemed to create a kind of confusion in the protocol of the German presidency, where the German president, equally enthusiastic, also sat down in a place assigned by protocol, after he no longer greeted them with a nod. According to the comment, because he was not allowed to speak in the reception line. Chairman Selami, disappointed that he had not been invited and disheartened by his usual reaction, “the wise thing was to end without behaving very politely with Mr. President and, since he did not see very well, he confused Berisha with Hysen Haxhiu.” SH.T
