The case concerning the 6 escaped prisoners who were captured is separate The investigation into 13 police officers of Tirana prison is concluded 1. Halim Xhafa, one of the escaped prisoners, was arrested by the police. The police have not yet officially announced this matter. It is still not known with certainty whether the escaped prisoners were supported by other persons or whether they were involved in the escape. “There is confirmation for the 6 escaped prisoners who were captured, but not for all of them,” said the sources. On the other hand, sources from the investigators’ office say that the 20 escaped prisoners will be separated for special proceedings. Search warrants have been issued for some of them.
