—36 undocumented migrants from Albania apprehended in Apulia
During inspection operations, the number of non-EU undocumented migrants expelled from the ports of Bari and Lecce reached 36. Police reported that last night the sea in the Strait of Otranto was force eight, which is likely to have hindered boats from setting off from Albania.
The largest number of Albanian undocumented migrants discovered in recent hours was 15, found in the fields of Monopoli near Bari.
They were joined by eight compatriots and two Turkish citizens of Kurdish ethnicity, discovered overnight in the fields of Otranto.
At the port of Bari, in addition to two Albanians arriving from Durrës on the scheduled vessel “Lauburnum,” two other people discovered during a border-police inspection were also expelled. Meanwhile, in Otranto, nine Albanians with forged documents were turned back from the vessel “Anamaria Mauro,” which had come from Vlora.

Bomb Against Rain in Moscow
-On May 9, the ceremony will not get “wet”
Moscow reports that a special group of meteorologists is ready to bomb the clouds if they cover the capital on May 9, in order to dispel the rain, because that day the 50th anniversary of the victory over Nazi-fascism will be celebrated in grand style.
The experts—reports the Itar-Tass agency—will use seven planes to attack the clouds with “dry ice” and various chemical compounds capable of dispersing them. The operation will cost 200 thousand dollars and will be carried out on the eve of the celebrations if the city is covered by clouds of medium density, that is, the kind that bring rain. The anti-rain operation has been carried out regularly on occasions of major celebrations since 1980, the year the Olympics were held in the USSR.
