The PS chairman reacts to his decoration The municipal decision: “a modern challenge to Berisha’s regime” TEPELENË - At last, the imprisoned leader of the PS himself has reacted from Benca regarding his decoration by the Tepelenë municipal council. A short message, written by him, has arrived at the Municipality offices, which, after proclaiming Nano “Honorary Citizen,” has been the target of attacks from the central authorities. The message from the PS chairman, sent to the socialist councilors, describes this decision as “a modern challenge that the Municipality of Tepelenë made to Berisha’s regime.” Nano’s letter reached the Tepelenë municipal officials only a few days after the end of last week’s protest by a group of intellectuals in front of the Municipality headquarters, and it preceded the preparatory hearing at the district court between the prefecture’s representative and the chairman of the municipal council.
