Pangalos in Albania
Today, the Greek Foreign Minister, Theodoros Pangalos, is coming for the second time in four months to Albania to see more closely the work and developments of the Tirana Congress. For two days, neither the Albanian capital nor the beautiful Albanian coast will matter to the minister, worn out by the summer heat. His companions will take him to the next duty on drill with the Greek Foreign Minister. In no plan was the presence of Theodoros Pangalos at the Socialist Party Congress in Tirana avoided, although no such reason was ever declared. If Pangalos had not come to Albania, he would not have enjoyed the sun so much, since the beautiful sun still casts strong shadows.
There were also others who went, as well as the number of three Albanians from Konispol to Saranda. A meeting with our foreign minister, with the embassy circle and lunch and talks, and Pangalos will continue on to Vlorë.
However, during the reception of Albanian emigrants from Greece who are these days in Albania, "we suggest" about 300,000 emigrants, the message of the others will once again be enjoyed in Greece and will lower the level of livelihood with some of the compatriots and react sharply to the concept of ethnic others without any hesitation at all, once for one direction, but what it aims at from another direction, but what it aims at from another direction, but what it aims at from another direction[?].
The one most expected, from among the major doubts about the leadership elections, could not be absent. The race was very fierce, and the result on one side would be at the highest levels in Tirana. Mejdani, first on the list carefully prepared by Ilir Zherka, won the race by one vote more than the other candidate from the same list, Rexhep Mejdani. But that is not all. The result shows that part of the delegates declared another rival as their preferred candidate. The congress met yesterday afternoon with the presence of 126 delegates, and most of the doubts in the local elections have reached Tirana, where many people are smiling with a sudden attitude. The race of the elected and the withdrawn, in the eyes of the majority, had all the chances to be among the most rewarding offers. During the evening and night hours, more than 5 police checkpoints blocked the main entrances to the city of Tirana, and the centers were closed. At 11 a.m. the counting of the ballots finished and the result was announced. These are the winners. The names matter. Rexhep Mejdani won with 45 votes against 42 votes for Ilir Meta. Yesterday Mejdani was organizational secretary and seems that his experience pushed him toward a new mandate, but this time at another level. Tododos Budo(?), Pandeli Majko, Ylli Bufi, Namik Dokle, Arben Imami, Bashkim Fino, Fatos Nano, Neritan Ceka(?), Arta Dade, Servet Pëllumbi, Kastriot Islami, Paskal Milo, Petro Koçi, Luan Hajdaraga, Anastas Angjeli, Arian Starova(?), Sabit Brokaj(?), Skënder Gjinushi(?) and others were voted into the leadership.
The most visible tendency of the 26 names who will be responsible for the fate of the local elections, Tirana has much interest in choosing locally. The race among them ensures a new balance. Yesterday the new leadership was elected and thus the changes at the head of the pink headquarters came into force. Another name that won more votes was Pandeli Majko, listed as a man close to Nano. Meanwhile, Ilir Meta lost by a margin of three votes in the race for the post of secretary general.
