Why is the bloc not being broken up?
BY PJERRO CUPI
In 1991, when the turncoat was seen for the first time, what happened then—an event that, for future misfortunes, will not be repeated before January 7 of this year—was the same fault, just like the communist bloc. Whereas then the patriot Hoxha stood at the head of the horde, today Doctor Berisha is there.
Again today the people are asking for accounts, they want the president’s government to answer, in the sense that the “bloc,” which once again has been the road of progress for Albanians, is now showing what it was and what it is trying to become. It is no wonder it is only stubbornness; the bloc is carrying out its own discourse. The bloc of Berisha is resisting with the longevity of Hoxha’s bloc in 1991. Even then the time was the same, when together with the people, “shifje” and condemnation; “where was Prallna, Mamoni?” since only in the circles of the bloc were they called that. Berisha is today understandable, Berisha stands in the people’s bloc by declaring that “Albanians do not want pluralism, they need a strong power.” “Pluralism” was our poor afternoon as well as the people’s. The bloc resisted for enrichment and corruption. Big and rare words are needed for calm; in the newspaper’s bloc they tell the tale.
2. The bloc is now not standing, because it has a head. Berisha has created the party. The political and labor layer that is helping within the bloc in an opening of the state, therefore we include these by producing commanded people. Grandeur has all been in government; of the opposition. Today the bloc is only in the main first section, in other wings, in factories and among the broad masses. Fatos Nano, the president of the socialists, is without light, and blocked in the flow of the seeker, the same flow as the newspaper’s bloc.

Police and armed civilians surveil the newsroom, point out the police of “Koha Jonë”, Nikoll Lesi as well as the chief editor
(Continued on page 3)
Yesterday in Vlora
The people of “Koha Jonë”, Nikoll Lesi, as well as the chief editor — had reported, remaining without being reproduced. Yesterday “Koha Jonë” presented several violent acts in its newsroom. Last night around 7:00 p.m., armed police forces occupied the newspaper’s premises. They are accompanied by three plainclothes civilians, who climbed onto the newspaper’s cars while surveilling. They are in a serious condition, having remained in the newspaper premises without being removed, escorted from one person to the stairs of the building where they are located. They escorted the owners and staff as well, helplessly. According to the newspaper’s employees, the civilian police carried out numerous violent acts, seizing and confiscating the publishing equipment.
People at “Koha Jonë” say this act has a serious background. Earlier, the head of state said in a meeting with police leaders that he would shut down the newspaper because it had sharply criticized the government. A few days ago, in the same speech, he said that the actions of the “Koha Jonë” newsroom should be brought before the law as violations of constitutional order and threatened that “any person who opposes state authority will be severely punished.”
The opposition:
“Everyone to the square against the government. We bring flowers instead of stones”
