The South, paid terror

The money stolen in March, in the hands of the terrorists Page 2 The state and terrorism BY ALBERT PEZA Terrorism in Albania took on another, more hidden form, only in the last two weeks. This became clear in all the actions of the thugs, who, with their gunfire, were initially trying to frighten ordinary citizens. As in every staged act and, until yesterday, carefully organized, these gangs, sometimes linked to divided political forces, have aimed at anarchy, destabilization and even overthrow. The first was the theft of grenades from the military base, before it was dismantled? and prevented in cases where these criminal gangs would use these weapons. But first? to carry out the orders of certain parties now in opposition. Under the pretext of the noise and their departure from legality, citizens are asking the new government for order and peace at any cost. During the heavy and ruthless attack against the offices of the Socialist Party in several cities in the north and center of the country, carried out by criminal gangs using automatic weapons and combat fireworks, the second scenario was put into action. The burning of enterprises and customs posts, in order to make the situation even more alarming. Thanks to the seriousness of the new government and the public objective of the government, the opposition is losing ground. This is also confirmed by the democratization of the country, which is increasingly being seen with open eyes and without the complexes of the past. To deal with terrorism, kidnappings and anarchy means having neither morals nor political support. On Friday, late in the evening, it became clear to all of Albania that the organized hour had come, emerging from secret bandit activities and showing its true face. The Minister of the Interior, Neritan Ceka, on behalf of the government, declared that the powerful explosive blasts in the offices of SHIK in Tirana were an organized act by anti-state centers. The latest tremors in Tirana will clearly send a message of terror against state institutions and that responsibility lies with the right-wing extremists, opponents of the constitutional order. Later, the head of government, Fatos Nano, who came to power 29 days earlier after the victory of the left, assured citizens that law-enforcement and state representatives are resolutely opposing terror, which puts democracy and hope into question. The Prime Minister stated that the security forces would act decisively until calm was restored throughout the country. In particular, regarding anti-constitutional actions and provocations against state institutions, the government is carrying out all actions to identify the perpetrators and bring them before justice. If in these last few weeks, more than anyone else, someone has made the true face of the opponents clear, it is former President Sali Berisha. The attack on SHIK in Tirana, under the political excuse that the new government is incapable, was carried out precisely on the 29th anniversary of the creation of the notorious State Security organization, which disappeared with the fall of communism. As we said, this operation in the middle of Tirana, in a five-story building that functioned as SHIK’s center in Tirana, made the country be chosen precisely in this way, to leave the traces of revenge. The letter signed in the name of the “Front of Resistance”, which claimed responsibility for the terrorist act in Tirana, clearly shows that the author prepared their message very carefully. According to the police, from these actions and public statements, which are now fueling terror, it is clear that we are dealing with acts of “terror”. In the wave of seven blocked tritols and seized by the police there were also four more of such devices, which were sent to a workshop on the outskirts, which has other suspected links with certain individuals. But today the scenario is taking on a larger dimension and the police must extend control over a wider range, since there are those who incite revenge through statements and by presenting themselves as “victims of terror”, while in reality they are its organizers. The public defense of these authors by the “leaders” of the opposition, declaring them “victims”, makes them accomplices. Placed in the center of the Ministry of the Interior, in yesterday’s statement issued by the Minister of Order, Neritan Ceka, it was stated verbatim that “terror has continued for a year and a half with the burning of depots, bridges, cutting of telephone poles and attacks against institutions. If the authors of the political explosions in Tirana are to be accused of “terrorism”, as they were presented last night by Mr. Ceka, that would by no means be an excessive label. On Friday evening such an event occurred that could have cost human lives. If only one remote-controlled bomb had not exploded and blown up 29 branches of the center in the capital, which was operating under the SHIK label. On Friday evening there was an organized act which, judging by the way it had been put together, clearly shows that those who conceived it carried it out with special care. The first traces show, without a doubt, that these are people with special knowledge, with experience in the service of an anti-state service. In the plan of those who gave the order for this attack, the logic of events starts from the familiar scheme of destabilization and intimidation. This explains why the same hand that organized the theft of weapons from the military depots in the north of the country also ordered the placement of tritol in Tirana. In general, SHIK’s actions have begun together with the chief prosecutor of Tirana. On Friday evening, anti-crime agents and judicial police officers arrested 7 people, believed to have taken part in this attack. The carrying out of the latest attack with such an explosive and with clearly organized forces finally clarifies the truth of the criminal scenario that has been unfolding for a year and a half. If until now the question “where did he get the weapon?” was asked of ordinary citizens, now it turns out this question should also be asked of those who have in their hands the money stolen in March.
