Everyone is in the field
BY FRROK ÇUPI
Kosovo today resembles a day of mourning, one that gathers the whole family at home. On the occasion of Kosovo’s killing, Albanians have all taken to the field. Everyone is in the field, but each in their own way and with their own purpose:
The fake nationalists have taken to the field. They call themselves deeply Albanian, but in fact they are the shallowest people in the world. Most of them are people who have no responsibility, but who have all the protection they need for their own lives and their families, and that is why they shout loudest: “War!” Others get killed while they remain behind, shouting.
Those who have been deceived have taken to the field. They have either joined the KLA, or they are children and naïve people who give up their lives “for Kosovo” in five minutes.
The Mafia have taken to the field. These days, all the Mafiosi inside Albania, as well as those in the West, have changed their “business” plans and turned to “patriotism.” They have coined the phrase “weapons are needed for Kosovo” and opened bank accounts to sell weapons. Their capital will surely multiply by shedding the blood of innocent people in Kosovo.
Berisha and his companions, who caused the greatest tragedy for Albanians last year, have also taken to the “Kosovo” field. Aided by the current government, they have waited for this day, which they knew would come. It has happened just as with last year’s prisoners, who came out of prison and joined the innocent: “Join the ranks of the others, all innocent.” In the war being brought upon Kosovo and perhaps beyond, they will feel as though they are in a sea that washes away all crimes. After the war in Kosovo, Berisha and his companions may be proclaimed heroes.
The current government has also taken to the field. It has hidden behind Berisha’s slogan, “One nation, one position,” to display its patriotism. And to demonstrate its modernity, the government puts forward the formulas of the day. Nevertheless, the grim events in Kosovo represent a new opportunity for the Nano government, which has been declared a failure. Through the “war for Kosovo,” it may cover up its governing weaknesses...
Now everyone is in the field. Who will win?—that is the question. Everything resembles a jungle, or even a flower of fakery. But meanwhile this “field” resembles the spring of last year. Last year, our national history had entered the field of battle, but it was not known who would win. Did the better alternative for the Albanian people win—the spring of last year?! It is known that thousands of people were killed, but it is not known who won.
Unfortunately, the same may happen to the Albanians this time, too.

The former deputy chairman’s letter arrives at the “socialists’ headquarters”
Servet Pëllumbi is calling for a review of all the party programs currently being implemented. In a letter addressed to the KPD, the socialists’ former deputy chairman has called for the convening of the Third Extraordinary Congress to discuss the points on which, Pëllumbi believes, the PS has strayed from its program. Pëllumbi wants his criticisms of the party’s leading bodies to be discussed not only in the KPD, but also more broadly, within the party’s other structures in the districts. P. 2
