After several years of going unnoticed, for the first time yesterday, with no announcement as they usually organize it, after the unrest of 14 September, on the eve of the fall of the Meksi government in its absence, on the 90th birthday of Enver Hoxha, the supporters, the group whose role they apparently aim to give a political one. By gathering a not-insignificant number of people, this, either rescued or indeed, was done through force. Kurri i lirë i Kosovës says that the organization, to which the exiles joined, was draped in the pomp of the morality of a politics. By gathering in the premises of Hotel Dajti countless people, to lower even for a moment, but to feel and cry over the crimes of communism, on such a day? It was a furious voice from former communists, who, as they walked by the hundreds, with a red-and-black flag and a yellow star in the middle. No one asked where they came from or whom they served. No one with eyes as they passed. There they passed under the shadow of Hotel Dajti and they held on. But with a clamorous voice, Albanians paid tribute to hundreds of men who cried with tears, so that tomorrow they would not remember with such attitudes that they were rising, closed off with hundreds of soldiers. Further on, on the Dëshmorët e Kombit boulevard, their words echoed dully. On the podium climbed some of the most vocal figures of that time. Among them were also seen former high-ranking officials of the system, people who yesterday were part of the dictatorship and today carried banners and photographs. Together with them was also Nexhmije Hoxha.
Enver’s loyalty seems to have marched yesterday through the streets of Tirana after eight years
