During these few days, it can be said that Albanian politics has been invaded by European politicians who landed in Albania as representatives of important European institutions. The arrival of European envoys in Albania was linked to the concern of European structures about the lack of political stability and problems in the progress of the parliamentary process. Consequently, one of the fundamental aspects of the mission of Europe's envoys in Albania was to exert pressure on the PD so that it would not be sidelined from the normal course of politics, by engaging in the process of drafting the constitution, and also by giving up its boycott of parliament. Indeed, even before setting out for Tirana, the ministers of the OSCE troika, from Warsaw, addressed the PD with a request to enter parliament and participate in drafting the constitution. Perhaps not by chance, the latest delegation also included figures from European politics known for their friendly ties with Berisha or his aides. Judging by the content of the European envoys' meetings with the protagonists of Albanian politics, especially the Democratic leaders, it is easy to understand that it is quite clear to them that the root cause of all the actions connected with the PD's self-exclusion from normal political life is its non-recognition of parliament. Thus, with regard to the approval of the constitution, Berisha and his aides have repeatedly said that “the parliament of Kalashnikovs has no right to draft a constitution.” But the non-recognition of parliament is certainly part of the PD's plans to go to new elections as soon as possible, in the hope of returning to power. Undoubtedly, the idea of creating a Constituent Assembly, which would take the people to the ballot boxes, also serves this purpose. Nevertheless, in playing the game of not recognizing parliament, the PD has to work hard to find convincing arguments, since working against it is not only its acceptance of the 29 June elections, but also of the constitution under which they were held. Thus, the PD resembles a player who, after losing the game, complains about rules that they themselves had accepted. The fact that throughout this period there have been constant suggestions from abroad for the PD to enter parliament or not to boycott the constitutional process shows that Europe does not agree with the options claimed by the PD. Ladies Fischer and Pack are now repeating the same line, trying to steer Berisha in the right direction. In any case, all these months can be considered lost time for the PD.
