Tirana: Try it!

We defend, crush, and tanks head toward the northeast Page 3 The statement made yesterday in Madrid by the Yugoslav minister, Zhivadin Jovanoviç, was an open threat of an armed attack against the territory of Albania. According to statements coming from that Yugoslav leader, it is clear that the Yugoslav army is following our country’s military situation with particular attention. In this respect, it is nothing other than a repetition of the Serbian diplomacy’s effort to internationalize the issue with the aim of shaping, using, and justifying a possible military intervention in the south of Kosovo and in Albanian territory. On the other hand, the declaration that “terrorists,” as the Serbs consider them, are using and exploiting certain “corridors” through Albania is also fully clear and unacceptable. If this is true, then the formulations, justified by the precedent of events in Bosnia and Herzegovina, are intended to introduce the element of “preventive defense” of the state in order to attack a sovereign country. Regarding the KLA, it is clear that we must be determined and prepared for our country to defend itself against any kind of Serbian aggressive intent. Our government must not remain silent and pretend not to understand what is being prepared. If aggression were to come against Albania, on the other hand, we must be aware that our army must be strengthened by giving it the necessary motivation and armament. And precisely now, when other developments of tension seem to be moving on the northern border, the movement of armored vehicles toward the northeast cannot be excluded. This is not only a preventive measure but also a signal that Albania is not defenseless.

Majko-Meta, ready for a “coup” over the Ministry of Public Order

Committees in government await the top leaders Majko-Meta, ready for a “coup” over the Ministry of Public Order The prime minister demands that the public order minister be removed without motive Page 8 Problems are mounting for the Ministry of Public Order and within the government. There are strong movements within the government. Although the real reason for this move has not been made known, circles around Prime Minister Majko have carried out a series of moves within the government cabinet and in relation to this ministry’s results. It seems that the replacement of the current minister is being sought, justified by certain public order issues. The exact reasons have not been published, but the political climate indicates that the moves are linked to power struggles within the majority.

Teachers’ strikes begin at all levels teachers who were once politicians extend a helping hand

Teachers’ strikes begin at all levels teachers who were once politicians extend a helping hand After this, miners’ strikes will begin To make it as clear and as felt as possible: there is a strong sense of grievance, because a few days ago the government announced non-participation for workers with possibilities. In this way, everyone is left with the compensation that remains within their intermediary allowance norm. The government forgets that teachers are entitled not only to a wage increase, but are also being paid less. The Ministry of Education has requested special funds and has indicated that it will encourage strong union measures. Teachers are demanding salary increases at least equal to inflation and payment of the outstanding differences carried over. If no measures are taken, the strike is warned to spread to other sectors, including miners.
