Who does not want Berisha in Parliament
Today, the Democratic Party and a contrived trident[sic] should have used the parliamentary podium to transform him from an inflamed figure into a symbol of the opposition. But in Tirana the opposite happened.
He does not want Berisha in Parliament. Why? They are interested in the return of the opposition to “parliament”; let us remember the achievement of the “Six” on 5 April. The reasons are several. First, they have to do with a fanaticism toward his figure. They see him as an “inflamed” figure, where rivals within the party and people close to him will continue to exist, even if Parliament itself were to feel his “glow” threatened. Second, with the constitution of PS representation among the ranks of its allies, they are sending signals that the affirmation of the opposition in “parliament” must be regulated more harshly; let us remember the achievement of the “Six” on 5 April. Third, it is linked to the “nonexistence” of fear of his arrival and to the game of Parliament’s closed terms, where, having become parliamentary through parliamentary activity, undisturbed by early elections and without support, he would have been able to create a group of his own on the move. Interest in Berisha in Parliament is growing to such an extent that the pillars based on clashes are being raised and this is thought to be where he will be dominant. This move by the chairman is much more valuable for passing laws and homegrown names in a shattered parliament than for descending into an open battle with the president of the republic and the minister of public order. Whether these developments will clarify the Albanian scene remains to be seen. It is enough to say that in recent days in the PD such a discussion has taken on the form of a broad debate.
