OSCE ambassador, a foreigner who remains more Albanian than Albanians

Political tension keeps rising; the opposition led by Berisha has begun its biggest offensive, not only through statements such as “this way,” “that way,” “if,” but also by presenting its political and opposition activity. There is a difference between actively presenting opposition activity and violent activity. Has the answer of the Albanians to developments ever stopped with one another, especially for solving this problem? The OSCE ambassador, Mr. Ahrens, has continued to deal sideways with developments in Albania, feeling himself an active citizen in this country. A foreigner in appearance, but Albanian in spirit, the OSCE ambassador in Albania remains for his whole life. Ahrens, the permanent “professional” for Albanians, is staying close to this in finding the proper solution to the problems that still require political explanations, if they are such. Being not a scholar, but also quite close to the corridors of power, Ahrens seems to be trying to find communication with the people through his figures and statements. But recently, he has been trying to create a bridge of communication and reconciliation between the government and the opposition, a difficult communication now, and the opposition has clearly defined that their proximity would be the opposition as an anti-government force. Nevertheless, alongside all this, Ahrens continues to declare that he will stay in Albania and feel himself a citizen of it. Thus, the only foreigner captivated by Albanians, in love with himself, that is, together with them. Is that little for Ahrens? But on the other hand, what are Albanians doing with their foreign ambassador? What have they done that so many Albanians are leaving? What should the opposition do? The opposition asks him! In a recent statement for Voice of America, Ahrens declared that Albania is not only his second country, but also his third, if not his fifth. So, a man who follows Albanian concerns almost every day lives and experiences them with us. Many analysts have called the UN man a “peace ambassador,” but his figure in Albania remains that of someone who loves Albania beyond words, beyond the state and politics. He remains the only noble figure from the outside gate, to empathize with the woes, problems, and concerns of this land. But Ahrens, who remains the only nobleman from the other gate, still from the Albanian door, which door is his pro-Albanian one?
