The evening of 8 August would add to the late biography of the fallen policeman Arben Zylyftari the account of his own killing. When we recall the events that had taken place in the northern areas, the tale of the slaughter inevitably leads you to the old saying that the last one should not be “killed by the wolf.” Always ordered to smile and, in the top chief’s judgment, with the strengthening of relations with anti-crime allies, especially the Italians, panic was aroused among the mafia and gangs in that country. It was perhaps their last measure of protection to push back against its confrontation. Alive or dead, he was plunging headlong into victory after the brief surprise. V. Kuli told him exactly that he had been killed in action. At least we understand. A policeman, the only son of a family, with his usual zeal and the extraordinary spirit of sacrifice so as not to be killed. It seems that the flood of joy from the later victory, that with the fall of one man the roads of honesty are no longer separated, was the merciless gift given to the country. 1,300 people officially wanted by the law hide and dominate events. They see it as a bad state as if it were kept standing by a nightly and daily terror. But we call it that and in the evening, as if we had all become wise and venerable. For all of us, that last night with the killed policeman and the appearance of the two criminals with covered faces was once again the terrible question: will tomorrow be ours or theirs? And if there is not a state that does not strike with all its defiance and does not at all bend the proper means before something like this, the Italian mafia executes our soul with Albanian weapons and throws them away, so that for three months nothing comes back, because I do not know how anyone can be reassured in this, because the Albanians there cannot be reassured, they are not like our prosecutors...
