The submarine that indicts Putin’s politics

For about a week, the Western media have been putting the incident involving the Russian submarine named “Kursk”, which sank in the Barents Sea, at the top of the news. The news from the Kremlin came out a day after the incident, which would turn into a tragedy and affect millions of people across humanity. The Russian press was also affected by the old “virus” of the Kremlin mindset. The Western allies of the Atlantic Alliance, the United States of America and England, offered their help to rescue the 118 sailors trapped in the sunken vessel, but Putin’s Kremlin refused. The Russian Navy’s repeated attempts to rescue the crew failed. After failing to preserve the “pride of Moscow”, Russian Putin-politics sought help from Western countries. Putin himself left the rays in the Black Sea to appear before the public with a stain darker than the sea’s own name. Putin and the Kremlin definitively lost the war with the West. Nothing now remains of the Russian armed forces’ pride. Neither the claim that the submarine was struck by another submarine—the claim that the submarine was struck by an American reconnaissance submarine—nor the other claim that it hit an underwater obstacle. Russia’s demagoguery about its once-mighty military forces burst all old and new illusions with the tragedy of the 118 Russian sailors, criminalizing the Kremlin’s own politics through its amoral conduct. Vladimir the New of Moscow, at least on this occasion, showed that he differs little from Vladimir the mummy in Red Square.
Now all that remains is to pay tribute to the 118 Russian sailors. Their eternal grave will be the “Kursk”, the submarine named after the symbolic city of the Second World War, where more than 2 million Russians and Germans were killed in the famous tank battle. The Kursk has gained more heroes, whose glory Moscow’s politicians—or the real killers—cannot parade.
