THE CRACK OF THE DICTATORSHIP
- THE UNFORGETTABLE 2 JULY -
2 July 1990 is a history unto itself. And not only because, with rare courage, part of Tirana’s youth rushed toward a foreign embassy to seek salvation rather than the morality of a free person, but because of the great crime committed by the Enver-Ramiz dictatorship in Albania. In the only country outside socialism in the world, where there was no unemployment, where life was happy, this massive youth revolt erupted, entering the territory of foreign embassies. First of all, these places were a symbol of democracy: the embassies of Germany, Italy and France. How many were there? Where were they taken? Was it perhaps to Mali me copa, as has been whispered? Only Ramiz Alia and his comrades know. When will that truth come out? That depends on the conscience of those who bear the main responsibility for that event.
That is why those who call them "the embassy doors for a few days and by schedule". To cover up the trace of the brutal killing, so that their hated power could survive in the eyes of the people. After a few days they also carry out the inhuman masking of leaving traces in the capital for the moral condemnation of the hooligans and their families. They began the cleansing and removal of the tool in the capital, organized by the iron hand of Ramiz Alia, school Emil Gjoni, but his megaphones became some pseudo-intellectuals, who shamelessly taught us then the logic of hatred, upon which socialism had covered every hope, by working, because socialism was dogma.
For what purpose did they close the doors? What the hooligans were saying cannot be accepted. And Albania would enter the road of Eastern Europe that was moving toward communism’s death. And what happened had to happen; even here there is no need for comment. Only one thing must be remembered, because it touches the hearts of the people: his great esteem for those boys of those hours, whose lives were in danger. They were parliamentary devouring and the wise man. And not only that. They showed Enver what lay behind the so-called reform from above of Ramiz Alia, the democrat he was. They now serve, and served, as an example to the young in the local regimes of their day.
This 2 July was for Albania the first democratic government, yet again a difficult economic situation, still under strain, because reserves were falling and the economic state was yielding high revenues. And would you not be? In statistics, something extraordinary is needed to overcome the economic crisis, although in a situation where the socialists (former members of the PPSH) are doing everything possible to oppose and suffocate Albanian democracy, to disrupt, to hinder, and to use the statements of those pseudo-democrats to restore the power they lost. If you remain, at least the local ones, it has to do with the management of the economy. Only the true democrats never forgot it, and this will ensure that democracy is not humiliated by a party first scarred for 50 years in this misery.
On this occasion we remember with respect all those who fell and will never return, who were brutally dictated and killed from our streets, when movement meant looking to work and live where one could earn freely.
Announcement from the spokesperson of the Ministry of Defense
By order of the President of the Republic of Albania, publicly given at the Metallurgical Combine of Elbasan on 17 June and of the government of the Police on 1 government, the Minister of Defense, Mr. Safet Zhulali, has presented three fair and legally based demands. The State Control official is examining other issues relating to their demands and they are in the process of verification, while for some of the demands the first ones are being resolved for the budget; if resolved, according to the calculations, Lirak Kastrioti Muca.
The Minister of Defense, Mr. Safet Zhulali, has given the right to open negotiations. The other request, for fixing the list of regular work and pension, the materials and military status of the combine, is being resolved, and is at the beginning. After the explanation developed in the session and by the government, it has been resolved, valuing the strikers’ demand even earlier. In the first session it was announced as possible that the peace at work, by decision of the Ministry of Defense and the prosecutor’s office, will end on 15 July. The strikers’ demand for the cessation of the combine’s militarization process after 6 months of the decision was assessed as prompt and fair, so that the 200,000 dollars be used to solve wage problems, for which the Ministry of Defense was also given a role, and because of complications in implementing the order, part of the foreign currency, amounting to 500,000 dollars, is being used to pay for imports.
Initially, by order of the Minister of Defense, by special decision, with reserve to the President of the Republic, the possible review should begin. The strikers’ demand for compensation for the 700 workers dismissed for serious disciplinary offenses is not considered justified, because their demands are not supported by law. As for the other demands, the Minister of Defense and the Government are doing everything possible to resolve them. The combine, as is known, has a future production program with great difficulties, but has obtained equipment and funds, with planning that allows it to continue production.

"The Pashko affair" - Discussions in Parliament
"The Pashko affair" -
Discussions in Parliament
Mr. Speaker,
I will begin precisely with the regularity and irregularities of what is happening here (uproar from the socialists; the session chair, Mr. Vukaj, says: Please). In the actions that have been taken there is no irregularity on the part of the PD parliamentary group (noise in the chamber from the socialists). Mr. Baleta addresses the socialists. What is the matter with you, shouting like this? What happened to them? The statement Pashko makes today is in response to a statement made by the parliamentary group on matters that belong to the work of parliament (the session chair continues addressing the socialists making noise in the chamber: Please be quiet, do not shout). Thus, (the socialists stand up to sit down in the chamber of the Assembly. Mr. Fehmi, you can wait a little and listen. It is nothing, since you have always been in conflict with the law, may we be allowed to do so as well? Mr. Baleta addresses the socialists: Do not take offense, gentlemen, what is it that your pla-[?]
ny is being ruined like this that you are leaving the chamber? What breakdown did you fail to achieve that you are leaving? (Mr. Vukaj: Please, if you have decided to leave, go out). (Mr. Vukaj continues: Under these conditions the session cannot continue. The session will reopen tomorrow) (Mr. Baleta reacts) Let the session continue, there is no need for a vote. (Mr. Baleta addresses Mr. Malaj: How were you continuing the session? The one who gives you his group). (Mr. Malaj: The session continues, I am the session chair).
Mr. Speaker, I am starting again because I was interrupted. This last scene seems to clarify a few things for us, causes all sorts of things and signs them. Mr. Speaker!
Deputy Pashko was free and within his rights to make that statement. On my part, I congratulate him on the statement he made. It was a statement more than one for which, in truth, we needed the parliament and, in particular, the PD parliamentary group. Mr. Pashko’s statement convinces us that the parliamentary group did much better with the action it took and with the position it held. This statement convinces me that the previous statement he made, which the parliamentary group criticized, was not a lapse, but a thought-out and planned step. This statement was not meant to be detached in order to throw enough dust in the eyes of the adequacy of the actions that were carried out in Parliament.
The law has not been violated at all, which guarantees the deputy the freedom to have his own opinions and not bear legal responsibility for his opinions. But this law does not mean that the deputy is free to do anything disorderly in Parliament in the name of the freedom the law gives him. The parliamentary group has not violated any norm, therefore all those who tried to interpret it in this sense intended to point-

Mr. Pashko meets with voters!
-NOTES FROM THE CHAMBER-
Suddenly, on 28 June at midday, our sleepy city awaits deputy G. Pashko. For three months we longed for him and he came! In the chamber, the cheers echoed from that group which before 22 March distributed the most unscrupulous information against deputy Pashko! Then, in that chamber, all kinds of insults and highly offensive questions were heard. This time, Mr. Pashko experienced their cheers.
Someone, to make the sympathy more concrete, shouted: «Long live the Socialist Party!» «Long live the memory of Hoxha!» (The memory). Deputy Pashko: «There is nothing in common between me and the Socialist Party. Socialist sympathizers were astonished at one another. What’s this about? This caused them to be a little humorous.
After the standard outbursts such as «There is no happiness like my family», after the ovations and «If they want you, they go to Oxford or the Sorbonne, but...» He entered the topic - «You are not listening to me. As soon as I open my mouth they oppose me, why these people, always the same ones. Haxhiari’s heart accompanied others, but I...» Azmi, who... I am trying for you. My personal acquaintances will ensure emigration to the West».
- The heroes’ graves were removed without notice, (I am a Christian and I am sorry that this was done?)
- In July prices multiply, great poverty will crush the people. Since I am sorry, I do not want to leave as a refugee, I have affection for you. (Socialist ovation in the chamber) «I am from the South, I am not from the North, do they not want me? Or...» "They will understand, because the arrival will bring unrest" (Thus preached "Çerjita Vilora" of Putirima and P...s-1
Then the smoke of «Vlora under the prefecture of Fier, Vlora is of 1912, 1920, 1944 etc. I oppose with all my strength...» Me, with me? Enough was chosen and the word «Will, will, will».
Mark Antony’s speech was repeated over time by different people! Since such a thing is not desired much.
«I am for transparency. Therefore I am with all those who are like that». Fine, Mr. Pashko. But why did you not answer the questions asked in the chamber? Did you foresee poverty? Aren’t you the first violin of the transition, comrade? Aren’t you the primo ballerina of the dance «Walking with Pain»? Why did you perhaps understand that the party program drawn up in your house (after you left from the stairs where you had stood without sitting before the faculty at....) was not su-

What on earth was inside a closed dossier?
... EVEN THOUGH THEY HAVE RISKED THE FURNACE, THE AUTHORS HAVE NOT HAD A SPINE STUCK IN THEIR LEG
As became known on 24 March 1992, at the customs crossing point in Hot, Shkodër, the vehicle bearing plate DO-RW 928 was inspected and blocked, with foreign citizen Ivan Arlov Daskalov as driver. It was a truck of a German transporter, in transport from the purchasing and processing company of medicinal plants «Çezar Lorenc». which has been carrying out activity in our country for some time. According to notice no. 69, dated 24.3.1992 issued by the warehouse of Albimpeks in Durrës, it was supposed to contain «fletëferre» frutikos 17,500 kg in 350 packages. The total value was 100 thousand dollars.
In fact, this truck was transporting a load 15 times more valuable. Hidden behind the bark were more sought-after and more valuable items, about 700 kg of blueberries, dhillinj and black, 6,577 kg of salep, 1,504 kg of chicory, 455 kg of flowers with packaging estimated at 501 pieces (do not forget that the invoice stated 350 pieces). Naturally, the financial police inspectors of Shkodër should be congratulated for stopping this truck and ordering the cargo to be blocked. After this moment, the opposing game begins. The financial police notified the criminal police; this left the matter to the investigators. The investigators suspend the case after consulting the financial police. These days, it seems, served Hysen Muhaxha, head of the plant branch of Albimpeks, to find the friend who would pull the truck out of the mud with everything in it. As a witness from Shkodër told me, the friend had plenty of cousins and was set in motion to get it out dry and ndr[?]. The door was closed, trusting the «intellect» of Hysen and his prosecutor. Ality VIII, because they had made a fictitious document? The Ministry of Trade and Foreign Affairs had not given them the license? The moral of this fairy tale is, in a few words: «All of you, in other words Albanians and foreigners, when you cannot get licenses, buy a pair of glasses for customs officers and financial police, making documents according to which you transport goods that do not need a license».
After this you have the right to ask the question: was this the first and last time they hid a large hare or a herd of hares in the thornbush? Why did Mr. Gjergjanu go, to have it brought out for a prize without a license, with false documents and a truck? Was it perhaps because, with the victory of the PD, two days earlier they presented as perfectly regular the punishment of the superiors who on that day lacked the state, the uncontrolled flourishing of business?
So, let these trucks through too, before we have handed over all the keys that open and close the doors of the customs houses.
We can also raise many other questions. The first question is: how will Albimpeks cope with the loss of 150,000 dollars that the goods are causing it? The director of the General Directorate of the Financial Police, Mr. Auron Janku, told us that Albimpeks was fully authorized to deposit in the bank the monetary loss corresponding to the true value of the goods.
Has this action been checked? Could another fictitious document have been made for this too?
Perhaps, by insisting on the bank check, much light can be shed on the truth, which is closed in the dossier, Mr. Auron told me.
We hope that the state control team will reopen this dossier and investigate the bank as well.
There are also other dark points that need to be illuminated properly. The firm «Çezar Lorenc» has practiced payment in dollars in its exchanges with Albimpeks, whereas this one was paying for the plants in lek. Why does it move around and through them in lek? But with private firms Albimpeks makes payment in dinars.
This leaves room for major maneuvering, so that even with the dollar exchange rate, a good part of it, if not most of it, does not end up in the state treasury.
From the city, the dollars lost and with the exchange rate 1 dollar equal to 80 lek have significantly reduced the profits of
