The PS in illegal anti-constitutional activities

In a long letter sent to the relevant commission, various representatives argue that certain activities of the Socialist Party are contrary to the constitutional order and to the norms of a pluralist state. The article presents serious accusations of political interference, incitement of conflicts, and attempts to obstruct the implementation of reforms approved by legitimate institutions. According to the author, such behavior cannot be tolerated, because it undermines not only the political climate but also the country's institutional stability. The competent bodies are called upon to verify the facts and take measures in accordance with the law. (partial text, unreadable in some lines) [?]

Should Fatos Nano rejoice at this victory?

By governing the state's justice system as he used to govern his own party, with the brutal anticipation of a scenario and corrective orders, Fatos Nano has suspended in a prison cell the future of a modest and devoted group of intellectuals, who have decided not to compromise their honor and personality with any government. He is watching them with impatience and anger, because he has failed in his own scenario and is losing this bet too after so many months. But the other, very brutal condition that Fatos Nano has set today is that the hours of newly regained freedom will not be spent under the stars of the open sky, but at the police station or under the roof of Tirana prison. There are three important reasons to remain calm and not be discouraged by this game of political diktat. First, his opponents' clan is counting its last days in power. Second, they are under public accusation not only for yesterday's trial, but for all their anti-state activity. Third, the voice of society's conscience is growing stronger than the voice of political command. (partial text, difficult-to-read column) [?]

An economic invitation

The responsibilities of the new actors in creating a market economy in Albania, under the conditions of a difficult transition, have required not only political will, but also a new economic vision. In this context, the author of this article examines some fundamental problems of reform, property, private investment, and the role of the state in the first phase of building a functioning economy. From this perspective, it is emphasized that reforms cannot rely only on enthusiasm, but on trustworthy institutions, clear legislation, and financial stability. Openness to domestic and foreign capital, as well as the protection of free initiative, are presented as essential conditions for reviving production and the labor market. (continued on page 4)
