Rilindja Demokratike

E martë, 2 shkurt 1992

THE DEMOCRATIC GOVERNMENT MUST EXERCISE POWER WITHOUT ANY DOUBT

Because reactionary forces took advantage of the undemocratic nature of the stability government and are trying to create the situation they need for the overthrow of democracy. IF the government and the chairman of the P.D. are not convinced by arguments that only by exercising the power won by the vote of the people, absolute power, can they bring the country out of this situation, at a time when the forces with which it is bringing itself and our nation to ruin are trying to overthrow democracy, then we this resistance and strength of faith that no one can restrain. We will sound the national alarm when danger is approaching and awaken the greatest patriotic spirit. Seeing this direction in the actions of power and especially of the President, it is clear that he is taking upon himself to leave the country at the mercy of the communists and mafia clans. We call on them not to think any more of concessions before the country is destroyed. Albania needs democratic order, a state governed by law, and a firm political will.

The mobilized stamp for medical aid for Albania

On 14 January, an initiative began in Italy, with the support of the Volunteers and the Organization [?], to send medical supplies and hospital equipment to Albania. The initiative will include continuous shipments and cooperation with local structures. Within this framework, medicines, equipment, and technical assistance for Albanian hospitals are planned.

Why are the PS and “ZP” sowing them with moçanisë?

Following the reaction of the old political circles and their propaganda, the newspaper “ZP” has continued to attack the democratic forces and create an atmosphere of distrust. Instead of helping the democratization processes, it tries to relativize the responsibilities of the past and strike the democratic opposition. This behavior is contrary to the interests of the country and to citizens’ expectations for a free and responsible press.

THE DOUBLE-FACED NATURE OF PP(S)

Since the beginning of 1990, the official period of the metamorphosis of the PPSH began. Entangled in a propaganda that had to be sold before the country and the world as a wise decision of pluralism, it began to change the external signs with noise and fanfare, but not the essence. “ZP” labeled every citizen reaction as backwardness, while for itself it preserved the entire old mechanism of totalitarian thought. “ZP” tried to present itself as the voice of reform, but in fact remained the mouthpiece of the narrow interests of the nomenklatura. “ZP” has used ambiguous language to deceive the public and to drag out the reckoning with the past. “ZP” calls victories those that are only survival tactics. “ZP” cannot hide that PPS is trying to survive by changing the label and not the content. Statement on events in Poland No middle road, not for bread We follow with regret the latest developments in Poland and consider them proof that freedom requires determination, organization, and a clear break from the totalitarian past. In this sense, we address the Albanian public opinion so that it does not fall prey to vague formulas and empty promises. The victory of democracy requires moral and political responsibility.
