THE SOCIAL-COMMUNIST OPPOSITION WOULD DO WELL TO KEEP QUIET!
1 - The opposition must accept responsibility for the economic catastrophe it inherited.
2 - The PPSH/PS must feel responsible for replacing the communist dictatorship with anarchy. Instead of talking about "pluralism," it should bear responsibility for the dictatorship through anarchy, civil war, and disorder in the country.
3 - The Socialist Party must bear responsibility for 46 years of Albania's destruction.
For the first time in the history of the Albanian opposition, it has issued a declaration in which it affirms its opposition, that is, that it is against the government. This declaration was signed by the opposition leaders and contains a series of theses that attempt to create the idea that democracy and pluralism are lacking in Albania. However, if read carefully, it turns out to be nothing more than an attempt to deny their responsibility in creating the present situation.
We are convinced that our country is in a very difficult economic and social situation. But this situation was not created in four months. It is the direct legacy of the 46 years of the communist regime and the total failure of its economic and political system. The Party of Labour and its successor, the Socialist Party, have no moral right to pose as saviors or as advisers for democracy.
This opposition should be silent above all on the economy. The present crisis is the result of its policy, of collectivization, the destruction of private property, the country's isolation, absurd investments, and the treatment of human beings as mere instruments. Today Albanians face shortages, poverty, and insecurity, but this is the consequence of the system they built.
It should also be silent on public order. Instead of demanding accountability from others, it should remember that the replacement of dictatorship with anarchy, civil war, and a permanent climate of destabilization has also come from its policy over the last two years. Threats, incitement, sabotage, and attempts to create panic cannot be erased by belated statements.
The Socialist Party must answer for 46 years of Albania's destruction. No normal country can forget the prisons, internments, violence, poverty, closed borders, the destruction of religion, of the elite, of property, and of freedom. To speak today of democracy after having oppressed the nation for nearly half a century is unacceptable cynicism.
If the opposition wants to play a useful role, let it begin by accepting the truth and repenting for the damage caused. Only on this basis can a normal political debate be built. Otherwise, every statement it makes remains a propaganda attempt to evade historical responsibility.
The road of democracy, the only alternative path to progress
-FROM PRESIDENT BERISHA'S VISIT TO BULQIZË-
The President of the Republic paid a visit to Bulqizë, where he was received by local authorities and by a large number of citizens. In the meetings held, he emphasized that the path of pluralist democracy and reforms is the only way to lead the country out of the deep economic and moral crisis.
In his speech he pointed out that Albania cannot go backward, but must move forward with determination toward the market economy, private property, and the rule of law. According to him, any attempt to obstruct this process runs against national interests.
During the visit, the situation of the miners and the great difficulties facing the area were also discussed. The President promised support for improving living conditions and increasing investment in the main sectors.
At the end he called for unity, work, and faith in the future, underlining that today's sacrifices are necessary for building a free and democratic Albania.

Intentional action to destabilize the situation
At the center of the development of this conflict, the socialist work was not presented today? [sic], but in all consultations with the public it has been among the most active. In this regard, in a recent report by the relevant structures, it is stated that a number of individuals linked to the old segments of power are trying to stir up insecurity and tension.
According to official sources, their aim is to create a climate of distrust toward the institutions and to obstruct democratic reforms. In some areas, provocative acts, the spread of alarming rumors, and attempts to manipulate public opinion have been observed.
The authorities call on citizens to remain calm and not fall prey to rumors or political incitement. Any intentional act aimed at destabilizing the situation will be dealt with according to the law.
In conclusion, it is emphasized that the country needs order, work, and support for reforms, not a return to the past or political adventures.

Main objective of this issue of PD: 21 INTELLECTUALS EXPRESS THE DESIRE TO JOIN PADHE AND PD
DECLARATION
The main objective of this document is the rapid pursuit of reforms and the demand for political and social stability. The declaration states that the country needs understanding, the participation of all political forces, and the avoidance of tensions that hinder the transition to a market economy.
The text emphasizes that the government must guarantee democratic freedoms, pluralism, respect for the law, and the rights of the opposition. It also calls for conditions to be ensured for normal political dialogue and for arbitrary acts that lead to a worsening of the climate in the country to be avoided.
The declaration notes that the economic situation is extremely strained and that the population is facing numerous difficulties. For this reason, it calls for all energies to be focused on economic recovery, on securing bread and essential goods, and on restoring order.
It demands that the state institutions function normally and that the administration not be politicized. The declaration also underscores the importance of free and fair elections, political competition, and a press that is not prevented from carrying out its role.
In conclusion, it expresses the view that the country cannot move forward without social reconciliation, without calm, and without a clear orientation toward Europe.
