New measures for dealing with the consequences of the floods

— Tirana, 7. The President of the Republic, in a letter sent through the Albanian Telegraphic Agency, has informed the wider public and the government of his country of the decision taken to declare a state of emergency in the flooded areas. At the meeting held on this issue with representatives of the government and local authorities, the severe consequences of the natural disaster and the urgent measures that need to be taken were discussed. The floods have severely affected several areas of the country, especially the districts of Shkodër and Lezhë, causing major material damage and hardship for the population. In this context, a series of tasks have been defined for central and local bodies to cope with the situation and to ensure immediate assistance for affected families. The authorities are calling for full mobilization of state structures and volunteer forces to clean up the areas, restore vital services, and provide food and medicine. A call was also made for civic solidarity and support for the institutions dealing with crisis management. (ATSH)

The Time of Evil Was Over and Not the Time of the Criminals

It is difficult, not only from a few years ago, but also hard to recall calmly those moments in which yesterday’s regime determined people’s destinies with brutality, arbitrariness, and a complete lack of responsibility. In the name of order and fear, the individual was crushed, speech was silenced, and justice was replaced by political command. Today, as Albanian society tries to rebuild its democratic institutions, it is natural to look back in order to understand how crime was allowed to be covered up by silence and how civic conscience was distorted. This requires not only moral condemnation, but also a clear break with the system that produced violence and injustice. If we want to move forward, we must rely on truth, memory, and the force of law. Only then can the time of evil remain behind us and be replaced by the time of citizenship and responsibility.

A EMPIRE IN STOIPENI

Our Albania once pure, and the heir of the free nuarje In several days of last week, meetings and discussions were held regarding the situation in the country and the role of political forces in the democratic processes. The discussions focused on the responsibilities borne by institutions for enforcing the law and guaranteeing public order. In many areas of the country, citizens continue to face economic difficulties, shortages, and insecurity. This situation has prompted numerous reactions and calls for more determined action by state bodies. On the other hand, there have also been tendencies to relativize political crime and to present the past as an अस्पष्ट period. According to many observers, these efforts risk harming the democratization process and undermining public trust in the institutions.
