Better on a weekend than in parliament

- THE SMUDGED PARLIAMENTARIANS OF DAY AND MORNING - The first issue that the coalition government was bringing to parliament was to discuss the state budget. Sali Berisha had warned of such a thing, but the opposition deputies did not show up. Their absences caused the session to be postponed and triggered sharp debates about parliamentary responsibility. The article describes the absent deputies as people who have turned parliament into a place for rest, while citizens are waiting for solutions to their problems. It also mentions the names of deputies who preferred the weekend to parliamentary work, as well as the majority’s reactions to the boycott. The article closes with a call for the Assembly to be respected and for a deputy’s mandate not to be used for personal comfort.
