PS PROVES ONCE AGAIN THAT IT IS NOT FOR DEMOCRATIC SOCIALISM, BUT FOR THE MARXIST-LENINIST ONE

PS PROVES ONCE AGAIN THAT IT IS NOT FOR DEMOCRATIC SOCIALISM, BUT FOR THE MARXIST-LENINIST ONE - The boycott by the forty-year-old social-communists in the letter to the TV Assembly is de facto a “union” so that they would vote “abstention” - Aldochoi openly about “revolution – a question added for resolution” - The President as the sole representative for maintaining the state For three weeks and for the nation itself, for Albanians in the country and abroad, the question of the successor to the President of the Republic and the permanence of Kosovo has been the main topic in the Albanian press. These days it is being resolved, understandably, in the letter of the People’s Assembly, leaving no doubt that especially on one side of the Albanian parliament, such as the socialist side, a Marxist-Leninist political line still continues, which cannot be reconciled with the democratic state. During the broadcast “Koha jonë”, yesterday afternoon, in a conversation about the socialists’ “abstention” in the vote for the new president, it was said that this form was “respect for the constitution and democratic practice.” But the fact is that a good part of the socialist leaders and deputies continue to speak and act as if they still held the ideological monopoly over Albanian society. Instead of clearly expressing respect for the free verdict of the elections, they chose the path of boycott. This is a form of political pressure, a sign of the old continuity, which conflicts with the claim to be called a social-democratic force. This stance became even clearer in further statements, where the language of “revolution,” of “solution by other means” and of stirring public discontent was used. This is not the language of a democratic opposition, but the language of a mentality that has still not broken away from Marxism-Leninism. The President of the Republic, as representative of the unity of the nation and the state, must be supported in this function. Albania in 1993 needs strong institutions, calm, and the consolidation of the democratic order. If the PS aims to be part of political Europe, it must prove this through parliamentary behavior, respect for institutions, and a clear rejection of any totalitarian nostalgia.

ALBANIA IS GRANTED SPECIAL STATUS IN THE NORTH ATLANTIC PARLIAMENTARY ASSEMBLY

ALBANIA IS GRANTED SPECIAL STATUS OBSERVERS IN THE NORTH ATLANTIC PARLIAMENTARY ASSEMBLY Albania has been assigned the special status of observer in the Parliamentary Assembly of the North Atlantic. A copy of the letter with this decision was handed to the chairman of the parliamentary group of the Democratic Party of Albania, Mr. Sali Berisha, at a meeting in Brussels. Representatives of member states took part in the meeting and assessed the democratic developments in our country. It was emphasized that observer status is an important step in bringing Albania closer to Euro-Atlantic structures. This status gives the Albanian delegation the opportunity to take part in the Assembly’s discussions and activities, and to benefit from the parliamentary experience of NATO member countries. (ATSH)

The fraud of the communist-socialists “Albanian needle to become owners”

Not today and the usual socialists in a survey conducted among the people, as for another privatization issue, treat it as a test question of coefficients. There are hundreds of kindergartens, crèches, still willingly in the Skopje region, impoverished by the transition, are making a flock of complaints, not even the workers in the non-profitable sector. In this context, but they are quickly convinced with questions that have no answers. In these surveys, it is taken as an example that sewing a shirt at home with four threads costs 80 lek, whereas tailoring it in a dressmaker’s shop costs 110 lek. In this way they seek to create the idea that enterprises are inefficient and that private ownership is always the solution. But it is forgotten that the price of an enterprise also includes electricity, equipment, maintenance, storage, and social payments. Today an attempt is being made to present such a process as the ‘only way’, whereas in reality there are many open questions and many social consequences that remain unanswered.
