KUÇOVA LIVES WITH THE TIMES
KUÇOVA DOES NOT LIVE WITH
EMPTY PROMISES-
-From the meetings of Mr. Tritan Shehu, Mrs. Liriura Hasko and ministers Musaraj and
Ksyoves-
It could not have been accidental that citizens of all social strata and ages were present at last night’s rally in front of the theater, and this was reflected in the messages written on the banners. Hundreds of residents of Kuçova, with courteous support, women and men, students and intellectuals, workers and peasants, gathered to hear the voices of Prime Minister Aleksandër Meksi, Minister of Health Tritan Shehu and Minister of Agriculture Rexhep Uka. Their words were followed with special calm and respect.
The citizens of Kuçova, especially those in the town area, have suffered for years under a changed system, where shortages of drinking water, electricity, transport and infrastructure have become part of everyday life. This has brought not only economic hardship, but also a deep sense of distrust toward unfulfilled promises.
In his speech, Tritan Shehu emphasized that the government is determined to do everything possible to improve citizens' lives and to push forward reforms that would bring economic development and better services.
He spoke about the need for cooperation between central and local government and about the importance of preserving political stability in the country.
The meeting also addressed the concrete problems troubling the area's residents: unemployment, lack of investment, the condition of the roads, and the challenges of social services. Citizens raised questions and asked for quick solutions, while also expressing hope that the changes that have begun will produce the expected results.
All necessary actions in accordance with the Code of Criminal Procedure have been carried out in the Nano case
Clarification by the spokesperson of the Tirana district court
Deputy President of the Tirana District Court, Mr. Banush Aliko, in a letter sent by P. Xhafa, the prosecutor in the case of the defendant Fatos Nano, explains from the outset the main points in the procedure that was followed in this case. He starts from a truth known to all specialists in the field of jurisprudence: a criminal case is based on the facts and the criminal offense, and the person enters it afterward. Initially, says the deputy president of the court, criminal proceedings No. 677 dated 12.2.1993 were registered for the criminal offense of abuse of office, as provided for by Article 248 of the Criminal Code.
All the preliminary investigative actions were then carried out, and on 2.4.1993 the persons under investigation were designated on the basis of the evidence collected. Later, on 2.4.1993, Fatos Nano was placed under investigation for the offense of abuse of office in cooperation with the former Minister of Finance, with serious consequences. All further procedural acts were carried out, such as arrest, notification, questioning, expert examination, etc. During the proceedings, as other elements of the criminal offense of forgery emerged, by decision No. 120 dated 20.5.1993, the prosecutor joined the other criminal proceeding to this case. After that, the investigation was completed and the case was sent to trial.
Regarding the claims of procedural time-limit violations, the deputy president of the court clarifies that the detention time-limits were respected and that there was no violation of procedural provisions. He emphasizes that the defense requests were examined in accordance with the law and that every decision was taken in compliance with the Code of Criminal Procedure.
At the end of the clarification it is stated that the case falls within the court's competence and that any further comment on the defendant's guilt or innocence belongs solely to the court's decision.
A shameful ending for both sides
We played the "r." checkers well,
with the aim of bringing home a win
overall in the friendly match, known as a
phase of victories quietly won by others,
a situation especially when the course of
the match brought a different flow and
unnecessary drama.
Having found ourselves ahead after a
part of the game, our team did not manage
the pace properly and allowed the opponent
to get back into the match. The lack of
concentration in the final minutes and the
overly nervous approach turned the game
into a draw that helps no one.
In the end, only the bitter taste of a
missed chance remained, while the fans
leave disappointed.

FROM THE ARREST OF
YOUNG PEOPLE IN PD
DEMOCRACY GAINS
D-In the government's shackles it is
being treated with proportion!
The aim of the PD is to increase its
political strength through capable, young
cadres with clear opposition to the old
regime. In this context, it is reported that
new memberships in PD organizations are
moving at a good pace in many areas of the
country.
According to reports from local branches,
there are dozens of intellectuals, teachers,
engineers and other specialists who have
chosen to join the Democratic Party. This
is presented as a sign of growing trust in
its political program and the reforms in the
country.
The article stresses that this process
strengthens democracy and pluralism,
while criticizing the behavior of government
structures when they create obstacles or
pressure on citizens because of their
political beliefs.
