THE WORKERS OF BISHIT

(Taken from "Zëri i Popullit" of March 4, 1994) With this scenario, there was reason to strongly accuse the opposition in an unjustified way of organizing this murder, disinformation and political poison. However, the event will be clarified and the perpetrators will get what they deserve for this ugly act. If we are given the opportunity to uncover a proof, let us say openly that no one has the right to hide behind the fog of the propaganda of the day. The prolonged relations between politics and crime cannot be covered up with phrases. (Continued on page 8)

THE CRIME BEGAN TO BE REVEALED

Not only to be hidden On Sunday, 20.2.1994 at 10:15 in the "Kombinat" neighborhood, citizen Shanë Ajeti, a teacher by profession, was shot dead with a firearm. At the scene, a filter cigarette and a burned "Lada" vehicle were also found. Based on the initial procedural investigative actions, the examinations and expert analyses carried out, as well as statements from individuals, it is suspected that this murder was committed by the following persons: 1 - Azuzar O[?]muti, from the village of Griqan in Gjirokastra, working at the electricity transmission-distribution enterprise. 2 - Niko Tela, from the village of Leshnicë e Sipërme in Saranda, working at the fishing enterprise. 3 - Maksim Bufi, from the Partizani neighborhood of Gjirokastra, unemployed. 4 - Vangjel Totoni, from the "Pazari" neighborhood of Gjirokastra, working at the agricultural secondary school in Kordhocë. 5 - Kosta N[?]a[?], from the village of Shtëpëz, working at the water supply enterprise. 6 - Katri V[?]uçi, from the "11 January" neighborhood, construction technician. According to the deductions, citizen Shanë Ajeti was killed because of his honesty in reporting the theft of large quantities of grain and a "Skoda" vehicle with Tirana plates, which was part of the Italian aid and which was seized at the home of citizen Azuzar O[?]muti and later at the scene. After the beginning of the investigation related to this murder, the first results show that the above-mentioned suspected perpetrators headed toward Tirana. It is believed they left via Qafë-Gjashta in the direction of Delvina. (Continued on page 8) Albania for his crime.

PS-concrete in corruption?

PS-concrete in- corruption?[?] -It seemed like a sign of a deeper reflection in deciphering the tribune. Protect yourselves in the hall- Not only to be hidden In Albania, which unfortunately has long been truly divided by political mismanagement and a pronounced lack of democratic culture, the reporting of serious events such as crime, as well as other criminal phenomena, cannot be separated from the clash between political forces. In such a climate, Sunday's event has also provoked unclear and often irresponsible political reactions. Unfortunately, instead of reflecting soberly and helping the investigation, some voices rushed to fabricate versions and involve the political opponent in a scheme of accusations. This is not only a lack of seriousness, but also an attempt to shift responsibility away from the essence of the issue. (Continued on page 8)
