ACCUSATION AGAINST RAMIZ ALIA FOR POLITICAL GENOCIDE
Five days earlier, on 9 October 1992 at 10:00 in the courtroom against former Prime Minister Fatos Nano, the latest hearing in the “genocide” trial was held. On the bench of the accused, the chief prosecutor by their side, they have admitted that in the documents Alia was recorded as the person to be summoned for this trial, but on the basis of the changes the investigation file has undergone, it has been concluded that he should be questioned as a person who has knowledge of the circumstances. This is how the prosecutor for Serious Crimes explains the distinction between Alia “under investigation” and Alia “witness”.
A series of former high-ranking communist officials, who according to documents are proven to have signed death sentences and orders for internment and imprisonment, are today being accused of “genocide”. A number of materials, documents and testimonies have begun to be examined, which will shed light on the main المسؤولitions for a systematic policy of political terror.
2. Alia is still not officially charged. On the list is one of the key figures of the regime, who according to the documents was active in decision-making. His questioning is expected to clarify the role of the party and state apparatus in the political sentences, internments and criminal prosecutions of the final years of the dictatorship.
The case of K. [?] Hoxha has come up, while those accused in the courtroom spoke about other names: Spiro Koleka, Hekuran Isai, Llambi Gegprifti, Kiço Ngjela, Simon Stefani, Hysni Milloshi [?], while orders and practices followed by the Ministry of the Interior and the justice institutions of the time are also mentioned.
Further on in the hearing, material was presented on arrests, internments and executions of political opponents. The debate also focused on whether criminal responsibility should apply only to those who carried out the orders or also to the political structure that produced them.
There was great media interest in the courtroom and participation by the victims’ family members. The trial was followed closely because of its political and legal significance.

DOES THE PRIME MINISTER READ THE PRIME MINISTER OF “ZP”?
“Do the gentlemen of “ZP” know...”
Perhaps even the readers of this article will be surprised when they learn that the so-called “ZP”, which in recent years has appeared as a tribune of polemics against the government, is publishing a piece that raises questions about the conduct of the prime minister himself.
The article deals with a series of publicly stated contradictions and with the lack of consistency between the positions of the institutions. The focus is on the way economic issues, imports, privatizations and the role of the central administration are handled.
The author asks whether the prime minister reads what is written in “ZP” and whether he bears political responsibility for the information circulating publicly. Doubts are also raised about the transparency of the procedures and about the real functioning of state control.
In the end, the article addresses public opinion in ironic and critical tones, suggesting that the conflict between statements and government practice is becoming increasingly obvious.
