HOW DO THE SOCIALISTS WANT TO GET THE VOTES?

- An 18-year-old girl is wanted for theft, by the Libokovë police station. - In this way the Socialists promise a fair race, but with the same torn nature they are left with only the VIP cuts at the end “Accused”, PD today to get votes... builds roads and water-supply systems... If we refer to the return of the event of a deed that was presented to us in yesterday’s issue of the newspaper, with an unscrupulous hatred and hunger that only Socialists are capable of displaying with all the shamelessness that characterizes them, especially in the middle of the electoral campaign, they referred to the case of a young 18-year-old girl from Libokovë, who was supposedly held at the police station for theft. Regardless of who this girl actually is and why she was taken to the police station, whether she stole, with what motive the theft was committed, what the punishment for theft is, in any case a rotten rope has been touched, to which the Socialists have tied their politico-social understanding. It would not be difficult to understand what kind of politics they are pursuing with this worldview, if it turns out that stealing, apart from the criminal aspect, is also an act against political opponents, that is, from a Socialist converted into a thief by the PD. It is laughable to choose the social phenomenon in this kind of fashion through a political concept. If earlier they tried to campaign on everything and nothing, now they have moved to this formula that they are getting votes by building roads and water-supply systems. This is now outright madness. Building a road or a water-supply system does not win votes; it fulfills government duties. That is why people judge who works and who deceives. To accuse someone of public works, investment, or construction means not understanding at all what the state and governance are. What is most striking is that this propaganda is served at a time when the electorate itself is seeing the change with its own eyes and does not need the mediation of old lies. The Socialists try to turn everything into mud, because mud is where they have learned to swim. That is also why every banal case, every peripheral episode, is attempted to be turned into a political platform. One thing is certain: this is not how votes are won, but trust is lost. And when trust is lost, propaganda falls too. That is what is happening to them today.

“WE ARE LEAVING THE PS BECAUSE IT HAS NOT DISTANCED ITSELF FROM THE PPSH”

Declared by Mikel Lika and Jozef Meçi In today's issue of this newspaper we publish the shortened statement of the two intellectuals, members of the Socialist Party of Zall-Bastar, Fas, the commune of Zall-Bastar. Because of the statement’s great length, today we publish only fragments and will return to it in detail after the elections. Their full statement is this: 'We, the intellectuals of Zall-Bastar, in the elections of 26 June will support the candidate of the Democratic Party, Mr. Pjetër Meshin, and not that of the Socialist Party. We have made this decision with regret, since until now we have been part of the PS. But we cannot continue to remain in a political force that has not clearly distanced itself from the PPSH, from the communist past, and from the moral responsibility for the condition to which the country was reduced. We had believed that the PS would make a clear break with the past, but we have seen that this has not happened. Its structure, spirit, positions, and people continue to be tied to the old mentality. This makes it impossible for us to continue contributing within it. For this reason, we call on honest citizens to vote for change, for democracy, and for the European future of Albania.'
