28 November - a day of great messages
Albania today is living through the awareness of a new stage of development, a stage in which many ideas are being gradually clarified and where the forces of the intelligentsia play a decisive role in leading the country out of the Albanian womb into which the old regime had confined it for nearly half a century.
The absurdity of the former rulers was that, as the great burden of the communist bloc, of the anti-Albanians, and of the anti-government forces, they were supposed to lead and set the tone of political and public life. For them there still exists the concept of an endless disagreement with the past, denying every achievement. This is an old and unrealistic logic.
Today, in order to understand our history more correctly, we must bear in mind that 28 November is a symbol of Albanian statehood and independence, but also of a western orientation. By recalling these moments, we need a new civic and national awareness, a political class that sees Albania as part of Europe.
In this context, the messages of 28 November are messages of a great national unity, of growing civic responsibility, and of rejecting nostalgia for dictatorship. Only in this way can this symbol serve as a reference point for the country's future.
What is blocking the EIB aid for Albania? Greece withdraws its veto
On Monday, Greece withdrew the veto it had imposed last month on the agreement to release 35 million ecu in the form of a loan to the Union of Albania. The decision by the Greek Foreign Minister came after a series of diplomatic efforts, during which Athens sought more clarification on the use of the funds and on guarantees for the implementation of the project.
According to diplomatic sources, lifting the veto is an important signal for relations between Tirana and Athens and an opportunity to speed up infrastructure projects. EIB aid is considered vital for the Albanian economy in this period of transition.

VUNAJSHON HINA
Kasavri[?] has finished, while on the media stage the old clashes continue among those who want to read the Albanian transition through yesterday's glasses. Others, in the name of a belated revolt, are trying to turn public debate into an arena of endless accusations.
Albanians have closed the tragic chapter of totalitarianism and communism. They do not need rhetorical orgies, but institutions, law, a free economy, and a new culture of tolerance and cooperation. That is the path that leads to peace and well-being.
Empty polemics do not solve unemployment, poverty, or the moral wounds of society. Only work, responsibility, and the building of the rule of law can give the country a new horizon.
