From the round table to breaking the law

From the round table to breaking the law EDI PALOKA The reason declared and undeclared by the non-parliamentary opposition that its political forces, with their representatives, will continue to take part in the vote-counting commissions has only one name: a blatant and deliberate violation of the provisions of the Electoral Code. This fact, now known in all vote-counting commissions, has very serious dimensions. The non-parliamentary opposition, which initially claimed to have no representatives in these commissions, has now moved to another stage, seeking to impose its participation by force. In several districts cases have been recorded where opposition representatives have tried to force their way into the counting premises. This constitutes not only a violation of electoral rules, but also an open threat to the democratic process. Representatives of the electoral administration have stressed that only entities recognized by law are entitled to be present in these commissions. Any other action is unlawful and punishable. The situation calls for calm and full respect for the law. Any attempt to turn the process into a political clash harms the interests of the country and of free elections. (To be continued on page 2)
