The projectors and
deliverers of genocide
The Parliament's verdict
horrifies you
In five decades of rule under
Pol Pot Hoxha, so many
monsters were bred in Albania
that they turned the communist
half-century into a monster
time. Now that Albanians have
finally broken away from such a
time, the monsters, who still want
to survive in order to remain
useful, have been drawn into the
monster politics of the party of
the legacy, have usurped its
leadership, or serve this
leadership. Being the common
denominator of all moral,
political, human and intellectual
defenses, such monsters, by
virtue of the compromise
phenomenon, take on the role of
closeted breeders of hatred,
become interpreters of evil,
advocates of crime and find
shelter in the most compromised
political headquarters, which reek
of the anarchy of scandals,
corruption and filth, of the world
of black money and calls for civil
war, bloodshed and plunder. In
this same vein appears the old
and new symbol of chief judge
Brozi in the PS headquarters. The
defense that the PS newspaper
"ZP" gives to Chief Judge Brozi is
the same defense that the old
political class gives to the legacy
of the past, to the remnants of the
secret police, to the communist
nomenklatura that has penetrated
the very core of the judiciary, in
the framework of Brozi's
"initiative" for the foundation of
"independence" of the Albanian
courts. The concept of
"independence" that Brozi has for
the institution he heads is
wretched, since he seeks
independence from constitutional
laws and values, drawing on the
atavistic legacies of the State
Security that used to be directed
from the PS. In this context, the
"ismati"[?] of this miserable
"politician" with attempts at
political manipulation of justice
in the country, which raised
democracy into a system, which
he seeks to bring back into the
chamber of a headquarters, the
editor of "ZP" once again reveals
the complexes of the legacy, the
involvement of the Socialist
leader with the past of crime and
genocide, the capitulation of the
socialist tribunals before the
structures of the Security
service, which, if it has been
reduced by the action of
democratic institutions, has
remained untouched in the heads
of the deficient and the delusional.
In your period of persistence[?]
not only in the years '90-'91, when
you sought to prolong the life of
the Dictatorship through murders
in the scenario, but also now, in
these three years of democracy,
there are persistent positions that,
sometimes with arbitrariness and
sometimes with unconstitutional
faces, sometimes with
oppositions from Strasbourg and
sometimes with constant
objections to the laws passed in
Parliament, have shown and still
show that you sought at any cost
the return of the structures of the
old world, which brought the
Albanians to the edge of
existence. For the sake of this
awakening, you have built in the
shadows a political column of
thieves-heroes, mercenaries and
crime leaders, former State
Security agents and prostitutes,
pseudo-dissidents prepared in
Alia's offices and constitutionalists
of hobbyism, "reliable" and
compromised heads, irresponsible
and fanatical boulevard people,
nostalgic veterans without honor,
always monsters of evil serving it
for a high or symbolic price.
Among the amalgamated witness
assemblies, you have also
recruited the suspected judge
Brozi, who, in his desperate
awakening, through the service he
performs for you, sees the
persecutor of the man and the
irresponsible one who continues,
and has been devoted by his arm
crushed by the old crown.
At the disposal of this strategy
you have placed black money and
scandals, the old and new funds of
solidarity[?], the wealth of the
poor people you robbed,
humiliation and massacre.
Under the title
"shame", the editorial of "ZP"
once again reveals the complexes
of the legacy, the involvement of
the socialist leader with the past
of crime and genocide, the
capitulation of the socialist
tribunals before the structures of
the Security service, which, if it
has been brought down by the
action of democratic institutions,
has remained untouched in the
heads of the deficient and the
delusional.
You are the protagonists of the
executioners of genocide,
protagonists of its end, who still
continue to carry lists of terror,
and who envisioned Albanian
nights of St. Bartholomew,
dreamed of and turned the
medieval Inquisition into the eve
of the 2000s, in the crucible of
freedom and of great hopes. Your
hysterical lamentations in
Parliament for civil war, raving
from the freedom of the demons
of pathological revenge, are the
fuel of violence from which you
must absolutely not break away.
You marked[?] what the end will
be of the much-talked-about visit
that the President of the Republic
will soon make to Washington;
and you forget that whatever this
journey may be, it will be judged
not by the most powerful
dimension of the democracy of
the Albanians, and never by the
centers of your perverse hopes for
a St. Bartholomew of Albania.
Shame is yours, projectors and
executors of genocide, who in the
shelter of excess freedom still
have not answered for the crimes
committed. That justice is slow
but does not forget, while the
hour of the mercenary pseudo-
judges and their archaic patrons
will become entangled with the
feeling of oblivion. Your recent
attempts at[?] desperate, and in
despair, the quarrels and the
frustration remained
irresponsibility; politicians lose
contact with reality, hallucinating
swelling, their overreaction,
masks of the Brozi type, turn into
court jesters. Both sides share the
same fate: failure, with outcomes
that show that monster politics,
which takes monster protagonists
under its protection, has a
monster ending.
All this activity and the joint
action of the former State Security
hierarchs and their traps with
Brozi, the calls for the night of St.
Bartholomew, the illegal rallies,
the psychological terror of
"ZP", all of this has an immediate
cause: the forthcoming verdict of
the Albanian Parliament on you,
projectors and executors of human
and cultural genocide. It is
precisely this verdict that horrifies
you.

Serb columns in the house
where the League of Prizren
was founded
As is known,
Belgrade has drawn up plans to
settle Serbian columns in the
house where the League of
Prizren was founded. This was
made clear in the warning that the
Serbian director Natasha
Shutakoviç of the League of
Prizren Complex gave to the
Albanian employees, telling them
to remove all exhibits from the
building, because according to
her Serbian refugees would be
settled there.
This is an open attack on the
history of the Albanian nation, a
serious provocation showing that
Belgrade aims to achieve
perverse political goals by
settling Serbian columns in
Kosovo.

commission, Jean-Claude Marquis
Yesterday President Berisha received
a full briefing on Albania's achievements and
commitment on the path of reforms toward
building the rule of law and the market
economy. He expressed gratitude for
France's help as well as President Chirac's
personal support for the victory of the
democratic forces.
The interlocutors expressed concern
about the situation in the region. President
Berisha said: "I want to greet President
Chirac, who has brought a new moral,
political and military dimension to France's
stance toward our region, which is
significantly influencing Western policy. His
insistence on preserving the integrity of
Bosnia's borders is vitally important to
preventing a series of other conflicts. In this
respect, the permanent settlement of Kosovo
on the path of talks, within the framework of
a comprehensive solution to the conflict, is
also of particular importance. Albania also
encourages dialogue between Greece and
Macedonia in the interest of stability in our
region".
President Berisha also touched on the
problem of minority assimilation. "We think,
he said, that Albania has the most liberal
education system and this stems from its
policy. Minority pupils in Albania have the
right, where the numbers allow it, to open
their own schools or, where this number is
not reached, to open classes where their
mother tongue is taught, or to open private
schools, or to be provided with transport to
the nearest school".
Mr. Jean-Claude Marquis highly praised
Albania's surprising achievements in such a
short time, describing the Albanian economic
experience as wonderful for its results and
calling Albanians extraordinary. France is
following with interest the progress of the
reforms in Albania and supports them. He
also assured that Albania will have the
parliamentary support of the deputies for its
Association Agreement with the European
Union".

well demonstrated the qualitative
renewal of this political force. Of
the 21 executive members that our

The Chairman of the Presidium of the People's
Assembly, Pjetër Arbnori, received yesterday
morning the parliamentary delegation of the
National Assembly of France, headed by Mr.
Marquis.
In his presentation, Mr. Arbnori
focused on the democratic changes and the
reforms of our country at the national level.
"We have neither made nor will we make any
political trial, but we will condemn communist
genocide according to the law," Mr. Arbnori
emphasized.
Regarding Albania's foreign
policy, it was pointed out that today Kosovo
has had its borders erased and all the rights
provided for by the 1974 Constitution have
been denied, with the ethnic cleansing of 2
million Albanians from the colonized territory
being demanded insistently. With Macedonia,
Chairman Arbnori noted the problem of
education, the use of the Albanian language
within Parliament, as well as the right to
participate in the political life of the country,
stressing that the Albanians there play a
stabilizing political role. Regarding Greece,
he said that relations have improved, and
that we have not followed the principle of
reciprocity in the treatment of minorities.
In closing, Mr. Arbnori asked for
greater commitment from French investors
to help the country's economic development.
Mr. Marquis said that Albania lacks
France's help and that he sees the prospect of
closer relations between the two countries.
Present at the reception was the French
Ambassador in Tirana, Louis Dominique.

Fast pace for the reconstruction of the Durrës - Tirana railway line
Work has begun to implement the most ambitious plan for this year on the Albanian railway: the reconstruction of the Durrës-Tirana line, which is going beyond all expectations.
Work has begun to carry out
the most ambitious plan for this
year on the Albanian railway:
the reconstruction of the Durrës-
Tirana line, which is going far
beyond all expectations.
This concerns the
reconstruction of one of the most
important railway lines, which
characterizes the vital and
modern connection in the
movement of goods and especially
of passengers.
The reconstruction foresees the
complete renewal of this line,
including replacement of the
tracks. This will mean not only
doubling the speed, but also
increasing safety of movement.
The aim is for the movement of
goods and passengers on this
stretch to approach European
standards.
Upon completion of this major
work, those from Durrës and
Tirana will be able to travel to
and from each other in less than
30 minutes.
Here, at Sukth station, where
the machinery and equipment of
the Italian side have been
installed, our specialists and the
Italian ones are working at a fast
pace.
It is expected that at this pace
the task will be completed in less
than eight months, and if we take
into account the speed at which
work is being carried out here,
and the perfect way in which the
General Directorate of Railways
has organized this activity by
creating a special enterprise with
a specialized budget, it gives
confidence that the above deadline
could even be shortened.
The old, worn-out sleepers from
use are being replaced with new
ones. The rails are being welded
one after another. Everything is
changing. Modern machinery has
been put into operation.

Imagination and
unfounded insinuations
In recent days the Albanian press
has published a series of articles
and analyses concerning the
presence of Marx's doctrine in the
PS program. It is the press's right
to address and choose the topics
it deems fit, especially when it
concerns matters central to a
party's program. But in these
writings the authors have allowed
themselves, with their own
assumptions, to involve the
President of the Republic in a
somewhat similar way, linking
him to the PS leadership group or
even speaking of pressure from
the President on that party.
Asked to comment on the
insinuations in these writings, the
President's spokesman declared:
1- The President of the Republic,
while keeping unwavering respect
for all parties and political forces
within the constitutional arc,
considers the presence of Marx's
doctrine in the program of the PS
and of any other political party to
be an entirely internal matter of
that party, but also a matter for
the political life of the country as
a whole and a historical
irresponsibility with such
dangerous consequences for
Albania's present and future image.
The doctrine of Marx and Lenin,
also described as the gate of hell
for Albanians, is the philosophical
doctrine with which Enver Hoxha
for nearly 50 years justified the
dictatorship of the proletariat, the
ban on freedom of speech and
belief, movement and thought,
expropriation and total
collectivization. It is the doctrine
that served as the theoretical
basis for persecution, repression,
prisons and concentration camps,
and class hatred, in which poor
Albanians were killed, shot and
interned. It is the doctrine that,
through indoctrination, destroyed
the cult of the external enemy,
the enemy of the class, the
enemy of the Party, the internal
enemy, on the basis of which
brother denied brother, wife her
husband, children their parents. It
is the doctrine that divided the
Albanians, splitting them into
"us" and "them", into city people,
kulaks, bourgeois, revisionists,
etc. This doctrine served as the
basis for Albania's severing from
the Western world and its
plunging into the deepest
isolation it has ever known. Marx's
doctrine legitimized the
destruction of religious
institutions, major cultural and
national values, private property
and human dignity.
To appeal tonight to this doctrine
is a complete lack of
responsibility and an absurd
attempt to justify the national
tragedy, torture, violence, terror,
hell, misery, impoverishment,
deformation that our country
experienced. To put it in the
program means aiming at a new
isolation of Albania and at
destroying the Western and
civilizational path, your enduring
values, and the future of our
children. To serve Albania today
with alternatives based on Marx's
truth means to serve it enemies of
the democratic, human and
national values of the Albanians.
- The President of the Republic
does not interfere in the programs
of parties and does not exert
pressure, but he cannot fail to
denounce the dangers posed to
Albania by Marxism and all
totalitarian ideologies. He would
welcome the removal of Marx
from the PS program, which would
be a liberation from a great sin,
and he calls on all PS members to
show civic courage on this issue.
He is convinced that this is the
opinion and desire of the Albanian
electorate, which on 22 March
voted against this philosophy, as
well as of hundreds and thousands
of other citizens whom the fruits
of democracy later convinced,
only for them to become
disappointed by the absurdity of
its own time.
The spokesman also stressed
that although the President
encourages and regards as truly
positive the stance against
Marxism and the denunciation of
the theory of Marx by some MPs
of the PS leadership, claims about
coordination of these positions are
simply imagination and
unfounded insinuations.
