-Ulqini reveals the secret: the PS has
about 5,000 members in the capital
In the same hall where a few days
earlier the nationalist returning after
years had stepped, Mr. Abaz
Ermenji gathered around 1,000 people,
while comrade Namik Dokle could not
gather even fifty or 200. The calm of
the hall of the Academy of Fine Arts
was not disturbed by the applause of
the participants, who in a funereal
silence followed the words of the
comrades Pellumbi, Dokle, Ulqini
and others. The main speech was
given by comrade Pellumbi, who could
not convince the participants because
of the removal from the leadership of
the intellectuals Lakrovi, Loshi,
Shahollari, Zeneli, Kumbaro. Other
young comrades could have been
candidates for the new PS elections,
but Pellumbi, by leaving otherwise to
be understood, hinted at the troubles
awaiting the PS.
For the leaders of the PS the danger
is coming “from home”, which is
seeking “a split in the PS”. Pellumbi
left the attendees speechless when he
explained the consequences of the
anti-genocide law. According to
Pellumbi, the anti-genocide law gives
certain forces of the country the
opportunity to take jobs in the PS.
Dokle brought nothing new apart
from a few blandishments in reply.
The most interesting revelation was
made by Musa Ulqini. Ulqini addressed
200 people present in the hall with the
words: “You are 1/24 of the PS
members in the capital. So compared
to an Ulqini, he declared that the capital
of the socialists of the capital of Tirana
has 5,000 PS members.
The declaration deflated 20 results of
the “follow-up poll!”
“Double” inadvertently hidden
that was given and whether Ulqini was
aiming at what I was to think about his
declaration? If it is the first, Musa
should be congratulated for having
had even a moment of genuine
sincerity. If it is the second, the matter

The day before yesterday, the President of the Republic
of Albania, Sali Berisha, chaired a plenary session of the
General Assembly of the United Nations, and also
delivered a greeting speech on the occasion of the 50th
anniversary of this organization.
Meanwhile, President Berisha
continued meetings and contacts
with high-ranking international
personalities, some of which were
held at the “Park Meridien” hotel,
President Berisha's residence in New
York these days.
The evening before, the President,
Mrs. Berisha and the delegation
accompanying him were among
compatriots at the Den Bajarden
restaurant of Mr. Delmo Delmone.
The attendees congratulated
President Berisha on Albania's great
progress, the increase of its prestige,
the strengthening of cooperation with
the United States of America, and his
dedication to the vital issues facing
Albanians, President Berisha in the
USA, as well as his visit to Huston as
a guest of former President Bush.
President Berisha spoke to the
compatriots about Albania's
achievements and informed them
about the meeting he had with
President Clinton, where once again
friendship and support for President
Berisha and Albania were confirmed.
The compatriots expressed to
President Berisha their great desire
for the democratic forces to prevail
more strongly in the upcoming
elections, so as not to allow the return
of communism to Albania, which
would be a disaster for Albania and
for Albanians everywhere in the world.
There is no tolerance for crime and anti-law

There is no

and
anti-law
“We will smash your skulls and will
drag the democrats along the ground”
shouted Kastriot Islami two years ago
after Kaçi i zi entered.
“We will turn the former persecuted
into a tribe,” declared Hadjragja
a year earlier.
“Blood!” shouted the chairman of the
PS in Kavajë in the presence of
Pellumbi during the Referendum.
“Those who rose today against the
PS will end up in prison as soon as
we take power!” Those were their
words a few days ago in Lushnje.
So we are not dealing with a coincidence but with a constant
policy of the socialist leaders, who after every failure unleash
this kind of ideological terror.
They threaten, curse and insult,
provoking the feelings of a people who for 50 years lived under
their violence and terror, and then cry out about violations of
democracy and the establishment of a dictatorship.
The signatories of 22 March fought for a state radically different
from the one built by the red criminals.
An entire people rose against the dictatorship and on 22 March
’92 gave it the boot, along with those who until the end tried by every
means to keep it standing. Yes, the communist leaders, now turned
into leaders of the PS, could not conceive of a democratic state. Many
of them initially joined voluntarily because they feared a massive
revenge by the people in revolt. They could not break away from
their criminal concepts; therefore they think people... would have
behaved with them just as they behaved for 50 years with an entire
people. They could not conceive that a state could place goals above
tolerance and even above the law. They, unfortunately, still do not
manage to understand such a thing today. Always guided by their own
concepts, they took tolerance for weakness and thought the time had
come to return to the stage just as they were, with hands still red from
the blood of innocent victims. We thought they could act with the
Albanians as they had acted until then and again sow roots in everything,
and they began to show their teeth again with threats. Even the son of
the dictator dared today to threaten Albanians in order to take revenge
yesterday for that filth who was his father.
The PS leaders thought the time had come to bring back a
practice, to turn the revolution upside down, and with their heavy
momentum they appealed nostalgically to those who cared about
nothing, not even the laws, to go into action. But the top of the PS
has still not understood that 22 March marked the beginning of a
democracy and the rise of a state based on tolerance, and that 22
March marked the birth of a communism and the birth of a legal state.
They began screaming about violations of rights when their militants
were caught with illegal, anti-constitutional and anti-Albanian leaflets.
They screamed that a dictatorship was being imposed when force was
upholding the law.
They protested when they had to be reminded of the blood that had
been shed. All this cannot mean they have not understood that anti-legal
communism in Albania will not return anymore.
Albanians can no longer tolerate such crimes.

Ilir Zela calls out: “We will curse the door!
We will tear the cinema apart”
We traveled to Lushnje in order to inform the
reader as accurately as possible about the event described by the
eyewitnesses.
The image of the left-wing newspapers with falsified photos from “KJ”
or from the “trumajat” of “ZP” in the square in front of the cinema,
with the aim of flowers as soon as one enters Lushnje. From
conversations with Lushnje citizens we are producing the chronology of
the Monday noon event, when the Marxist, comrade Servet Pellumbi,
first deputy chairman of the PS, at the head of a handful of Enverist
fanatics, arrives in the city of Lushnje to hold some kind of pre-electoral
activity.
As soon as he got out of the car, Pellumbi was greeted by two old men,
former members of the PPSH. By these, comrade Servet, with the raised
communist-style fist, greets the nostalgic arrivals gathered by the
newspaper man with coal-black pages, from other villages of the Lushnje
district. As well as a loser with a red biography from the city.
Among the “enthusiastic” socialists they head toward the entrance of the
city cinema, where the “meeting” of the Lushnje socialists was supposed
to take place... However, to Pellumbi’s misfortune, the cinema door was
closed; its owner, Mr. Ferit Tabaku, a legitimate PS sympathizer, being a
private free man, had preferred to sell his labor and his business rather
than listen to the worn-out dogmas of the old revolutionaries of the PPSH,
comrade Servet. Since he regards the behavior of the owner, the five
of them have withdrawn from the PS.
Here socialist deputy chairman Pellumbi and his furious escort, headed by
the fallen “trivovar” Zelenka, burst into unrestrained hysteria. Slogans
against the government and its legal entities, against the institution of the
Presidency, against the PDSH, against the people, spread, who according
to them had become rebellious and disobedient.
The “Euro-socialist” Ilir Zela stood out, often shouting: “We will curse the
door! We will tear the cinema apart.” And further he addressed them,
insulting the citizens in a vulgar way, who, prompted by curiosity, had
come to see what had happened.
As the witness said, in the city “Kine e Vrenozit” addressed Pellumbi with
the words: “Where is your comrade Femi Abdia? Perhaps, but at least give
me the fate of my grandmother Pasho Vrenozi, whom he left to be shot?”
After this hysteria by Pellumbi’s socialists, the people in the surrounding
area revolted, so the situation became tense. Thanks to the proper
disposition of the city’s order forces of Lushnje, the events, with the
wisdom of the people of Lushnje, were resolved without reaching the
framework of violence between the different parties.
Betrayed by their own sympathizers, by the organizational indifference of
their structures in the district, by the indifference of PS members,
comrade Servet and his escort left the city of Lushnje with their tails
between their legs, unable to hold their planned “meeting”. This reality
was bitterly testified to by the PS itself in Lushnje, and it was also said by
many people who had been eyewitnesses on the day Pellumbi failed in
Lushnje.
SKËLQIM GUÇE, 24 years old
In the square in front of the cinema
we saw groups of people gathered.
We learned that the PS was going to
hold a meeting, but they were leaving
one by one.
Out of curiosity we approached and
heard several people who apparently
came from Tirana and from the
villages of Lushnje start insulting and
provoking the people around them
with some of the most offensive words.
Indeed, some voices in these groups
of arrivals said they would tear the
door of the club, the cinema door...?!
But the cinema door was closed by
its owner himself, who is a PS
sympathizer.
As for the security forces, they stayed
as the law required, maintaining order
and peace. Above all, nothing ugly
happened.
Ilir Zela was the one who launched
the slogan that they would tear the
door apart. These words of Ilir Zela
caused great irritation among the
people of Lushnje. But the people of
Lushnje are democratic and do not
support these vandalistic actions of the
conservative socialists.
DRITAN SADKU 22 years old:
From everything I saw there, everyone
behaved with gratitude toward the
socialist leaders, especially the young
people.
It is not true that there were police and
SHIK forces from Kavajë, Berat, etc.
At least most of us know the people
who are here in Lushnje, since it is a
small town.
NDRIÇIM MARA 30 years old:
The event is this. While walking on
the boulevard, I was asked whether
Servet Pellumbi would come as a PS
deputy of the city because the campaign
had started.
Many people said that the oral and
indecent campaign for the PS had
begun.
As soon as Servet Pellumbi’s escort
arrived, they began, with insulting
words, to mock the people gathered
on the boulevard.
From the insults made by the PS
people, the listing of other people. The
PS version that we were brought in
from the road, etc., is completely
wrong.
Those socialists were shouting that
they would tear open the cinema
door, while the curious were shouting
“Down with the communist!”
BAJRAM KORESHI 65 years old:
The closing of the cinema door drove
mad the people who had come from
Tirana. As soon as Pellumbi and his
companions started saying that they
would make a denunciation, that they
would make a mess when they took
power, people gathered, insulting them
and replying with words.
It must be said that the security forces
maintained a very correct stance,
protecting the individual and peace in
the city.

Statement from the Department of
Defense on meetings at the Pentagon
between Albania and the USA
Honorable Safet Zhulali, Minister of Defense of Albania, and a
high-level Albanian military delegation, have held meetings with
American Defense officials. Minister Zhulali was in the USA for an official
visit at the invitation of Defense Secretary Perry.
During the discussions at the Pentagon, the Minister’s mission was to ask
for U.S. Department of Defense support and cooperation in restructuring
the Albanian army in a democratic government with civilian control. With
experience, he requested the continuation of aid for the development of
infrastructure for the Armed Forces of Albania. The American side
promised to continue examining the possibility of finding appropriate
defense items, especially transport equipment that could be offered to
the Armed Forces of Albania. The Albanian side expressed interest in
continuing joint exercises and suggested the creation of a national
training center, which was welcomed by the American side in the spirit of
PFP.
Secretary Perry expressed appreciation for President Berisha’s ongoing
efforts to prepare democracy in Albania and democratic principles in the
Albanian army. In his meetings, the minister supported the position
expressed by President Berisha during his visit last month to Washington
regarding the fundamental human rights of Albanians wherever they are,
especially those in Kosovo.
Minister Zhulali and Defense Secretary Perry signed an agreement on the
tracking of military information and awarded the departing American
military attaché in Albania, Lt. Col. Buçine, a decoration. Both sides
pledged to continue working closely with one another.
Besides meetings with Dr. Perry, the Secretary of the Ground Forces
West, Chief of Naval Operations Admiral Borda, Coast Guard Commander
Admiral Kramek and others, Minister Zhulali held meetings with officials
from the State Department and with various congressional leaders. He
traveled to the State of New Jersey for meetings in the Senate and at the
National Garden, as well as to the Army War College in Carlisle,
Pennsylvania, and the Military Academy at West Point, New York.

NDREKE GJINI
On the faces of the socialist leadership
a stone is set every day. The
irresponsible actions of the old guard
at the head of this party, who recently
publicly worked against the public
with the “five enemies” they had
sheltered in the leadership during the
party sessions, show that nothing has
changed in this party except its name,
from PPSH to PSSH.
The leadership of the PS is proving
with facts that it has remained as it
was in the PPSH, very violent and anti-law. And they are proving it
with concrete facts.
After their legal tendencies,
after the insults and slanders and
filthy speculation, after the threats
and after the deeds in power to
change the just laws and put people
in prison, after the open acts of
hooliganism and physical and
psychological violence in the streets,
they are trying to manifest these also
in the Albanian Parliament hall.
This is best demonstrated by
yesterday’s final act of the plenary
session. After a completely deceptive
declaration by Dokle regarding the
so-called events in Lushnje, this
socialist deputy, whose motto is
lying and disinformation, could not
stand hearing the reasoned response
of the Lushnje deputy Kujtim Gina to
what had actually happened in
Lushnje. Thus, “joined together” like
this, they let loose and shouted loudly
in order to make the explanation of
the truth impossible.
But after things were clarified and it
became clear that the reason for the
occurrence in Lushnje was not the
police and SHIK, nor was it Dokle,
but a member of the PS who is the
current owner of the cinema in that
city, the issue became known so that
the meeting would not be realized.
Indeed, this action
