At the PS press conference Pellumbi is afraid to distance his party from Enver Hoxha. He does not answer the journalist's question about Clinton's interview, in which Greece is asked to open dialogue with Albania without preconditions. Apparently, he has left a hostage behind in exchange for conditions. NDREKE GJINI Yesterday, PS leaders Pellumbi, Dokle and Zeneli appeared before journalists at a press conference, where they announced the positions of the party they represent on the political situation in the country. At the beginning, the PS deputy chairman read a PS statement to the press, after which the conference continued with questions and answers. Dokle tried to display his abilities in the legal field and attempted to present the PS initiative to draft the constitution as something entirely lawful and normal. In his answer, he speculated about individual articles of the main constitutional provisions that deal with legal institutions, thereby making it appear that the draft constitution was an ordinary law and not a constitutional law. But there is no need to dwell on this, because we have repeatedly expressed and argued, also on the basis of the articles of these provisions, that this initiative is illegal and aims at nothing more nor less than creating a political smokescreen with the aim of destabilization. This is because the question of who should draft the constitution and who appoints the commission to draft it is clearly and explicitly set out in Article 44 of these main constitutional provisions. Meanwhile, PS deputy chairman Servet Pellumbi, answering our question about his presence at a rally where people were chanting for Enver Hoxha, said that he had not been there by chance, but did not say a single word about the PS distancing itself from the PPSH and Enver Hoxha. Without mentioning the dictator's name, he spoke of the critical stance the PS takes toward certain “leading figures” of the PPSH. Then, in answering this question, Pellumbi said that history would deal with Enver Hoxha's figure, and spoke about “some minor mistakes by Enver Hoxha concerning total collectivization,” mistakes which, according to Pellumbi, the PS has criticized. So Pellumbi, who holds a doctorate in Marxist-Leninist sciences, speaks only of the dictator Hoxha's minor mistakes concerning collectivization, as if he had been a cooperative chairman and not the leader of the Party and the state for nearly 50 years. Thus Pellumbi, not without purpose, avoids stating the PS's real distancing from Enver Hoxha and the PPSH, which designed and implemented, at the expense of Albania and its people, one of the most brutal dictatorships known to humanity; designed and operated the prisons of Burrel, Spaç and Qafë Bari, as well as dozens of internment camps, where hundreds of thousands of innocent Albanians languished; designed and carried out the physical and psychological terror inflicted on an entire people, total isolation, political poverty, class warfare... etc., etc.

Meeting of the Presidium of the P.D.SH. Youth Forum Yesterday, at 11:00, under the chairmanship of Mr. Afrim Krasniqi, Chairman of the Youth Forum of the P.D. SH., a meeting of the FRPD Presidium was held, with the aim of reviewing the annual work of the FR and discussing problems concerning the reorganization of the FRPD. The annual report on the FRPD’s political contribution, international relations, relations with the structures of the P.D.SH., the Forum’s role in the election campaign and the referendum, and issues relating to the situation and prospects was presented by the FRPD Chairman, Mr. Krasniqi. The other members of the Presidium discussed organizational and membership issues, the restructuring of Forum branches, and other problems.
