The unbridled arsenal of the communist Marxist hawks of Albania cannot dim the role and mission of the PD
Albanian communists are the great losers of the year and will remain so
The communist hawks of the PS, for some time now, at the height of their darkness when party-state power was forcibly usurped, have unleashed torrents of fire against the Democratic Party and the government of constitutional stability, with words and with purposes definitively aimed at destabilization and at creating hysteria and a forgotten political revolution. Comments and various domestic and foreign authorities have been spread, newspapers and screens filled with fabricated news, in order to discredit the government and denigrate the role of the PD as the guiding force of democratic reforms.
This campaign is nothing other than the continuation of an old philosophy of class struggle, masked under the guise of parliamentary opposition. Those who yesterday destroyed the country through dictatorship and today preach political morality are the same people and the same structures that seek to turn back the clock. Democratic Albania will not be stopped by their howls.
The Democratic Party and its government remain determined in the historic mission of the final liberation of the country from the communist legacy, from anarchy, corruption, and black propaganda. The Albanian people have already understood who builds and who destroys, who protects institutions and who attacks them for power interests.
In this great political and moral battle, the PD will emerge victorious, because it has on its side the truth, sacrifice, and the country's Euro-Atlantic orientation.

They must never forget the rise to power of communism
Press conference of the Albanian Association of the Persecuted
Two years have passed since the creation of the Association and League of Albanian Political Persecuted Persons. From the outset, this association has aimed to defend the interests and rights of the former convicted and politically persecuted strata. At today's press conference it was stressed that the democratic transition cannot be understood without condemning the crimes of communism and without the moral and material rehabilitation of the victims.
Representatives of the league demanded that the state be more resolute in clarifying the past, in returning property, and in establishing justice. They declared that Albanian society must not allow in any way the return of communist ideology to power, even in disguised forms.
Concrete cases of suffering in prisons and internment were also presented, as well as demands for a fuller legal and economic status for the persecuted.
