"ZP" deceives
NOTE: Since "ZP" has called the propaganda of PD and the newspaper "RD" deceptive and speculative regarding Mr. Fassino's statements about PS, which were published in the newspaper "RD" and in other Albanian media, even left-wing ones, we are now documenting for "ZP" and the party it serves, no longer by citing "RD" and the official media but by publishing in full Mr. Piero Fassino's interview given to "Gazeta Shqiptare" ("Gazeta Shqiptare" is not an organ of PD) and an excerpt from the interview given to the newspaper "ZP", because this newspaper does not even know how to read itself. That is enough to understand who is lying: "ZP", whose hands have been stuck in Enver’s time, or "RD"?

FASSINO DECLARES TO "ZP"
It is evident that, by carefully assessing its politics and with political interest, we believe in an evolution in a European social-democratic direction of this party. We think that this party is hastening its steps toward modernization, but it must also work on opening itself up so that no one thinks there is a nostalgia for the past within it. And we are interested in helping it in this evolution.

28 November, triumph and challenge
EDITORIAL
28 November,
triumph and challenge
The Day of the Flag and of the liberation of the country
28 November has entered the history of Albania as the day of great triumph and great challenge. 83 years ago, the legendary old man Ismail Qemali raised in Vlorë the black-and-red flag of proud Albanians, proclaimed national independence and set up a barrier against the chauvinist occupation of the homeland. Vlorë entered the history of Albania as the City of the Flag, as the city that announced the proclamation of national dignity, which, though reduced by half, with half of the territories outside the administrative borders, had great historical value for Albanians, marking a decisive node of national identity. Vlorë preserved the name City of the Flag in history, and showed this title again in 1920, in the Great Anti-Fascist War, in the democratic battles for the collapse of the communist bunker-state and the building of democratic institutions. 51 years ago Albanians raised this sacred flag, bloodied in a titanic war, alongside Albania in the camp of the victors. But while the tide of the victors was still echoing in the euphoria of freedom, a fierce communist wave, which had been preparing the ground since November 1941, was seizing the new Albanian society, which after that date was swallowed up by the great maelstrom of the Second World War. The clan of Dictator Enver Hoxha at the head of the Communist Party of Albania was preparing for Albanians a half-century whose balance, after 50 years, would surpass the number of victims in the two world wars. Thus the sanctification of a flag magnificently raised in Vlorë in 1912, the flag of Skanderbeg, Ismail Qemali and all the idealists who sacrificed for it, would be confronted by the demons of the 'class war' that turned Albania into a land of bunkers and mass graves. The blood of thousands of martyrs, who dedicated themselves to the dream of freedom in the Anti-Fascist Liberation War, was joined by the blood of thousands of other idealists and nationalists, anti-conformist intellectuals and distinguished clergymen who were lynched because they thought differently from Enver Hoxha and the Communist Party of Albania. This was the greatest challenge that Albanians themselves posed to Albanian freedom, that part of them which, in the name of the victors, revived from the ashes hatred toward the instinct for freedom and turned that hatred into the spirit of special courts, common crime pits, black lists of dirty work, humiliation of human dignity, vacuum and ignorance, intellectual oppression and economic misery, in short, driving Albanians down a miserable slope, on the brink of historical downfall.
Albanians return to the memorable day of 28 November to honor the national flag and all that army of idealists who fought for a free and democratic Albania, planting their youth in the mountains, believing that the sacrifice for freedom would bear fruit in a free life. Honor and gratitude to the Albanian fighters, in prisons, who stained the earth with their pure martyrdom, despite the fact that this blood was smeared by the disciples of crime, the henchmen of the Enverist regime, which pushed the country to the terrible brink of ruin. unavoidable participants and propagandists of modern history. They may perhaps awaken the freedom that has been missing, in these 4 democratic years of the corner, which has raised with the honor of the eye, untouched democracy.
In these three democratic years, 28 November, the Day of the Flag and of Liberation, has been used and continues to be set as a dual sacred day, questioned by politicians and followers of crime. The rhetoric of Bolshevik, police propaganda presents and bandages Albanian identity and liberation, as 28 November, as we remember one should not slide the hook of 28 November as an absurdity of collectivism and the mechanics of communist-style capitalism, a model of experimentation. The Albanian people have raised for 4 consecutive years the national flag of freedom, which for centuries survived the storms and oaths of European Albania.
A magnificent era of advance toward freedom
Interview with Mr. Ylli Vejsiu, member of the Presidium of the PDSH
In complete contrast with the PS, international support for PD is becoming increasingly broad and explicit. I cannot believe that the insistence on expressing trust and support for its program is meant to exploit political sympathy for PD; rather, it reflects the full conviction that only it can guarantee the country’s liberalization and democratization and Albania’s real and rapid accession to the family of Europe
The PS is deaf to messages for reform
THE PRESIDENCY RECONFIRMS THE STATEMENTS OF MR. PIERO FASSINO
1. The PSSH is not a reformed party and is far from the other socialist parties of Eastern Europe
2. The PSSH must evolve further and change its leadership in order to move closer to a social-democratic political force
3. The Socialist International is closely monitoring the PSSH while keeping it at a distance and currently does not intend to consider its repeated requests for membership
4. He was clear about the law against genocide; history must not be forgotten
5. The Democratic Party of the left, the main party in Italy, will cooperate mainly with the Democratic Party of Albania
Mr. Fassino’s statements are authentic. The discussion at the Presidency is documented
The Kosovo issue has achieved great affirmation
We must all focus on the Kosovo issue - President Rugova emphasizes
that Kosovo is also in the American package, which may have to be considered international as well since the European Union, Russia and other states have also been included in it.
Asked how coordinated the diplomacy of Albania and that of Kosovo are for the solution of the Kosovo problem, Dr. Rugova replied that the two diplomacies are coordinated and that any global Albanian policy, whoever leads it, must be global, and must focus around Kosovo.
President Rugova values Albania’s membership in all international institutions and Albania’s opening to these institutions as very important for the Kosovo issue. Albania supports our demands and wherever it is present, the Kosovo issue is present as well, said President Rugova. He praised the important role of President Berisha in the Albanian parliament.
Mr. Rugova positively assessed Albania’s economic achievements and said that Albania had to work simultaneously on many tracks and has achieved much in this regard, bearing in mind the level of building democratic institutions, the achievements in the free market and Albania’s opening to the world.
A strong Albania is very important for us, said Dr. Rugova.
We must all focus on the Kosovo issue, because at this moment it is the foremost issue and it must be resolved, said the leader of the Albanian movement, Dr. Ibrahim Rugova, in an interview given to the newspaper Bujku of Prishtina.
President Rugova said in the interview that the situation in Kosovo is serious. But the Kosovo issue has achieved great affirmation in the world and there will be positive developments for solving the problem.
The imposed agreements in other regions proved the realization of Albanian policy, Dr. Rugova stressed and valued the Dayton Agreement and the positive agreements in a second sense.
Naturally, the implementation of peace will also be accompanied by means of force, since peace must absolutely be established, said Dr. Rugova and assessed
Fassino supports Albania’s accession to the EU
A sound partnership between Italy and Albania must become a reality of Italian policy in the Balkans, with the aim of helping Albania enter the European Union, according to the foreign affairs spokesperson of the left Democratic Party, Piero Fassino.
After returning from a two-day visit to Tirana, he informed the media and, in a government statement, said that the two countries should create a special force for Albania in the European Union.
According to Fassino, achieving real development, including basic institutions, modernizing agriculture and trade, channeling the first productive investments, and creating a new political class, would open the doors to association with the EU.
He added that a significant improvement for Italy would be to help make emigration less attractive.
Socialists threaten Albanian courts
Fatos Nano’s declaration from Tepelenë prison, about a future court built according to socialist principles, is a blatant attack on the independence of the courts and expresses the great danger of destroying their independence if they come to power.
It upheld the Tepelenë court’s decision and overturned the decision of the Court of Appeal - which had reduced Nano’s previous sentence by one year.
The declaration about a future court built according to socialist principles is a blatant attack on the independence of the courts and expresses the great danger of destroying their independence if they come to power. Whether Democrats govern or other political forces govern, the court has its own principles, which are not decided in party offices.
The threat to the independent judicial system is the clearest concern of the Albanian socialist mentality, which advocates a decentralized state. While they have so far declared themselves in favor of deep changes in the reform strategy in the economic field, Nano’s statement about a third level of justice is a threat to every judge, lawyer, prosecutor and all employees of the judicial system. If they do not defend the party’s side in court, then they are not even better judges, nor better lawyers, nor better prosecutors. This is Fatos Nano’s logic from prison
Of course, prison is not a normal situation.
The socialists’ strategy regarding the justice system was clearly expressed by their leader in prison, Fatos Nano. He has declared that, should they come to power, he will reform justice in Albania by completely destroying everything created during the years of democratic government. According to him, today’s justice is placed at the service of a Socialist Party, and that was also the reason he is in prison now.
The harsh reaction comes at a time of upheavals in the Court of Cassation. Yesterday it decided
