The PS remained a party of lost opportunity

EDITORIAL The PS remained a party of lost opportunity The chair of the Socialist Party’s electoral commission will be Fatos Nano. The verification of those who will be called as candidates for parliamentary seats will be carried out by Gramoz Ruçi. It is understood that the resolution of these issues will be according to a Nano and the taste of Ruçi, for there will be no other verification plan for the relationship of the socialists and the verification of the program. Once again those who have already been in charge of the party will be in its leadership, while the configuration of an entirely new January team on the side again of this party’s spokespersons, the elite will direct the members in the way Nano, Ruçi, etc. have directed them. None of them will now solve the coordinates that Nano has set for his own party, coordinates that have Marx as their beginning and Krajksi as their end. None of them will be able to draw any graph other than the one in which the long history of the Socialist Party has unfolded. None of them will have the chance to say Gramoz Ruçi, Alia’s policeman and a Bulgarian-type communist, and consequently Nano, a thief and responsible for many crimes that have occurred in Albania when he was in charge. No one can tell Marx to go away, nor Pëllumbi to go away. Nano has already secured the brigade contingent and can cultivate whatever he wants on his out-of-season plot. Deputy According to Nano they will be like Nano, they will be like all of Nano’s senior members who benefit from the most conservative part of this party, they will also be like their storekeeper, becoming by force the great wall of anti-reformism of this party. Nano himself, the fifth, has been excluded from the right to stand in the upcoming electoral campaign. This is because of the genocide law and the law on verifying political and state figures automatically excludes him. At first glance it seems that the anti-genocide law, although opposed by Socialist deputies in parliament, has now been applied. It is an effort after four years of opposition, not only by the ruling party but also by Albanian institutions, to declare themselves legitimate. Only one side would naively think that the origin of the figures and concepts for the application of the genocide law comes from the socialists. The genocide law and the law on the verification of political figures have been applied by them only technically, in a schematic manner, whereas seen from the angle from which the very structure of this law was written as a kind of function and not a table, this law will not work within the Socialist Party. The above law cannot be applied by the victims of the law, and these victims themselves would not have the possibility to bring it to life through prosecutors and judges who would enforce it. They cannot be both prosecutors and judges as a substitute for a list of deputies. This is because of the moral figures required for the application of the law, even on a protocol level, etc. The calendar also provides full possibilities, repentance and other measures with 2002 exactly, for a validity period throughout the seven years that he will be suspended by it. The very one who gave the genocidal command shows that repentance is completely absent and that they may be unprepared for such use even in 2002. Thus Fatos Nano and the others will be on their own terrain this year and through their own fault, without being cleaned up and without reflecting, constantly creating possible victims of this law, which, if it were to function even longer, would be said to confiscate politics indefinitely within the Socialist Party. The lack of reform in this party gave rise to the genocide law, completely avoided by its leaders and by those who make the law. This was initially achieved by removing the five from the leadership of the game. The full reversal of reform was completed by placing Nano, Ruçi, etc. at the head of the Socialist Party’s electoral organization. This fact is somewhat damaging not only to those who currently lead this party but also to those who will be elected tomorrow. The continuity of failure is now certain for the socialists. In yesterday’s PS active meeting, the dogmatic clan tightened its ranks.

Dogmatists and conservatives dominate the leadership of the Socialist Party

As the major newspaper “Frankfurter Allgemeine Ceitung” writes PS - a party without a program Its only political debate is the struggle against Berisha and the Democratic Party As the major newspaper “Frankfurter Allgemeine Ceitung” writes Dogmatists and conservatives dominate the leadership of the Socialist Party PS - a party without a program Its only political debate is the struggle against Berisha and the Democratic Party Albania The leadership of the Socialist Party is dominated by dogmatists and conservatives; this is a clear conclusion drawn from yesterday’s decision concerning the latest case in the article published by the major German newspaper “Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung”. This article, in an analytical style, shows that the largest Albanian opposition party still remains on communist absurdist ground and that it still has to take a bigger step comparable to a Western left-wing party. It is not the first time that the leadership of the PS has come under foreign criticism whenever political and economic reform in Albania is discussed. This comes not only from the foreign press but also from European political figures, such as the Italian left-wing politician Fassino, who spoke of a reformed Socialist Party that still does not meet the conditions of cooperation coming from the West. Likewise, the Secretary-General of the German SPD had no reservations when he stated that being left-wing does not mean being social-democratic, as he had previously become familiar with the positions of the leading party of the left spectrum in Albania. The article in the German newspaper also examines the alternatives put forward by Albanian socialists and the priorities of the electoral field. The author of the piece does not hesitate to call it a party without a program, while presenting as its only alternative opposition to President Berisha and the Democratic Party. The Socialist Party is presented as resisting like a dangerous relic and as contrary to the conditions for the rapid democratization of Albania. It is the offspring of what the dictatorship in Albania accomplished for decades. Seen by foreign observers as a party without a future and, at the same time, as a warning that an Albania led by socialists is no longer a Western preference.

An international presence is anticipated

UN resolution on Kosovo An international presence is anticipated The resolution was supported by 115 states The United Nations General Assembly yesterday adopted by majority vote a resolution on the state of human rights in Kosovo, which had been recommended last week by its Third Committee dealing with social issues and human rights. Through this resolution, supported by 115 states, the General Assembly, as in the resolution adopted one year earlier, strongly condemns the violations of human rights in Kosovo and the military and police repression against them carried out by the Serbian authorities. It calls for an immediate end to these violations and at the same time foresees the continuation of the efforts of the United Nations to ensure the establishment of an international presence in Kosovo. The General Assembly’s special treatment of the human rights situation in Kosovo is an additional important contribution to the international community’s response to the solution of the Kosovo problem.

The filter of crime

The hell-paradise of PS politics The declaration that the PS will not nominate anyone as a deputy, councilor, mayor, or municipal chairman ever again, in order to ensure the purity of the figure of the politician outside politics, is at first glance a signal showing a desire for real reform of this political force. At first glance, because this declaration takes the form and guise of pure demagoguery if we recall the fact that, in order to achieve this, the staff of Marxist conservatives who have seized the leadership of the PS has appointed a “commission” whose direction has been entrusted to the former Interior Minister of the dictator Gramoz Ruçi. So, in other words, we can say that at the highest levels of this party only demagoguery continues to be produced; not only that, but in reality this also constitutes negligence and a lack of predisposition on the part of this leadership to reform itself. Evidence of this is the zeal to “control” the future of this party by passing it through the filter of the mild current. So the meeting of the General Steering Council of the PS, by not announcing any alternative and by stifling the voice of those who have repeatedly tried to send messages of reform, by putting on the political market the reform “veil” of the Ruçi-colored filter, does nothing other than tell the members and sympathizers of the PS that “the trick to having sense” This then is the morality of filtered or purified crime[?] that the PS serves to Albanians, with which a visa to enter the West can never be secured.

Tozaj is living through the anxiety of his crimes

Neshat Tozaj carried out his latest expertise yesterday. This time against the leader of yesterday’s movement “Azm Hajdari. Placing the secondary a cycle against it finally put him back in his own profession, turning the yesterday’s movement had even used the ready-made crimes of accusations against the enemies of his party. Yesterday’s case, which closely resembles what he did many years ago against Fatos Lubonja, shows that the genocide law also has Tozaj in mind. He, as an expert within the Ministry of the Interior, had directed people to the prisons of dictator Hoxha together with his so-called ideas. He attacks Hajdari, as chairman of the parliamentary Commission for Defense, Order and the SHIK, because from this commission the first accusations have been brought forward toward genocide, while the procedure for other accusations continues and even Tozaj cannot avoid them. He says the socialists have hidden Tozaj and set him against Hajdari based on the police method so that the parliamentary commission led by them may slow down, at least somewhat, the uncovering of the crime. ZP, through Neshat, has not hesitated to attack the robberists. They have rejoiced against the other camp they faced, and they owe this attribute to the assault and bravery they showed in those days. ZP cannot be credible in its attacks against Hajdari today when it used the same jargon to attack him five years ago. And Tozaj is equally unbelievable, who has known how to silence all progressive voices that have managed to secure his expert reports from the State Security. Tozaj does not now have institutions in hand to create new victims like Lubonja. That is enough; the rest at least is calm. The others were absent within his moral code and from the newspaper’s retreat, within his history, which he cannot discharge either from yesterday or from democracy. A. DAJTI
