The Socialist Party is being cleared of people without files
The Socialist Party is being
cleared of
people without files
The Secretary General of the Socialist Party,
Ruçi, de facto the party’s number one man,
forgot the first list of those who must be
removed from the right to be elected. After
failing to secure approval of the declaration
of loyalty, Ruçi, with the mechanisms that
actually control the entire party, managed to
obtain the mandate of the “filter” through
which all those who will put forward their
candidacies in the upcoming elections must
pass. The first fact of this “filter” is the
marginalization and elimination of all those
Socialists, regardless of the position they now
hold in the party, who have accepted the
communist genocide in Albania and who have
expressed reservations about the political
course followed by the leadership of the PS.
The first harsh reaction of the conservative
clan of the PS, led by Ruçi, was their stance
against the five, whom the PS faction managed
to eliminate from the leadership without much
difficulty. After the five, as expected, the
conservative clan led by Ruçi decided to grow
more aggressive against all persons who have
expressed clear origins or positions in favor of,
even through their silence and inactivity,
accepting that the PS must be reformed, or
otherwise this party will sink into the abyss.
In the past, over several newspapers and
institutions, Ruçi worked with his closest
collaborators and discussed with members of
the electoral commission, which Nano
nominally chairs, the proof that Ruçi was
determined that, in order to strengthen the
positions of the criminalization within his party,
he decided to remove reformist elements and
people generally without files, thereby
strengthening the former State Security clan
within his party. The very fact that Pellumbi
has not denied this list, while some of the main
leaders have played ignorant, shows that
Pellumbi, Dokle, Brokaj and others were
informed about the drafting of this list.
Meanwhile, the anti-Albanian political current
from the ranks of the former State Security in
the pages of “ZP”, who after lashing out
against intellectuals and true Albanian dissent,
openly defending the State Security and others,
reconfirms that this party is passing into the
hands of the State Security and is being fully
controlled by these incriminated elements.
Because only the common culpability of the
declaration of loyalty for Ruçi, Nano,
Dokle[n?], Pellumbi, Brokaj and other
incriminated elements that have usurped the PS.

On the situation and measures taken in the areas flooded by rainfall
Press Communiqué of the Council of Ministers
On the situation and
measures taken in the
areas flooded by rain
As a result of the heavy and ongoing
rainfall in several districts of the country,
flooding has occurred. According to data
up to midday, the situation is as follows:
In Shkodër: around 5,000 hectares have been flooded. The greatest damage
has been in the village of Kuç, where 300 houses have been flooded. In Anajëm
50 families were evacuated. Flooding also occurred in
the village of Obot. There were no casualties among people or livestock.
In Lezhë - the area of Tales and part of the Gjadr area have been
hit by flooding. There is no flooding of homes.
In Krujë - around 11:45 this morning the Ishëm River
burst its banks, flooding an area of 200 hectares, an uninhabited area.
In Malësia e Madhe - around 1,200 hectares of land and
more than 20 houses, as well as a considerable part of the
food supply base, have been flooded.
The Shkodër-Lezhë road at the Baqallëk bridge has been blocked,
and traffic from Shkodër to Lezhë and Tirana is being carried out via Mjedë.
Meanwhile there have been no problems
in rail transport.
As for electricity supply, the 220, 110 and 35 kV lines
are generally on standby. The only fault is on the Fushë Arrëz-Kalimash Kukës line,
where supply has been interrupted since
7:30 p.m. yesterday.
Attention is being paid to the state of the waters in the Koman and Vau i Dejës lakes.
Koman has reached the maximum permitted level of 150-175.53. Hourly inflows are 2,000 cubic meters per second.
At the Fierzë hydroelectric plant the situation is normal.
The government has followed the situation with special attention and has taken all measures to eliminate the consequences and to be close to the residents of the affected areas. Specifically:
- Work teams from various ministries have been sent to the flooded areas. The Minister of the Interior, Mr. Agron Musaraj,
Minister of Health Mr. Maksim Cikuli, Minister of Agriculture, Mining and Energy Mr. Abdyl Xhaja,
and the Secretary of State for Local Government, Mr. Nizet Kosovrasti, have gone to follow the situation closely.

The hypocrisy of the socialists
EDITORIAL
The hypocrisy
of
the socialists
The left-wing political element has grounded this demagoguery in the country’s very social reality. This reality, of course, is not so perfect that it is an advantage for the socialists, nor is it a reality that can bring left-wing government. Albania is in social trouble today precisely because of the extreme left-wing ideology that kept it isolated and in extreme poverty. If one speaks of solving social problems in today’s Albanian situation, the only alternative remains moving away from the invisible basis of the ideology accumulated among Albanians who still bear this ideology of socialism.
The claim of social realism in the implementation of reforms by the socialists runs counter to what they offer in their so-called program, which is unquestionably a disguised return to the forms and methods of economic centralization, deconsumption, and the creation of illegal unemployed at the expense of the state budget.
The alternation of capitalism in Albania with a rebirth, toward adventure and the upsetting of social balances through saving, would in practice lead back to the socialism of four years ago. The socialists do not like that we should be the bright work in the Çarçani cabinet that would effortlessly draft what our country ought to be. Likewise, they need to create every time a strategy for the normative use of social consumer goods in a rapid degradation of overall and economic development in the country. As for the restructuring of some enterprises in Albania, such a decision would be a return to the communist method of a single metropolis over the economy, namely the state, without disputing what is the basis of the development of a market economy: the initiative of the individual, which is crushed to the point of making its existence impossible.
If they use in their vocabulary the term market economy or development according to the laws of capitalism, they do so in order to draw people into their electoral trap. The principles of a controlled economy can never go together with those of a fast-moving economy, which is a feature of capitalism. What they have preached in recent days is more than a typical Eastern socialism that does not go beyond what was achieved in Poland, Hungary, Czechoslovakia, etc., some thirty years ago.
When socialism, in its efforts to regenerate the structures of the economy, goes mad, it is absurd to speak of capitalism in the rest of the individual’s activity. A market economy leaves behind it a free way of life, once again compressing life to the point of suffering.
But just as the socialists can speak of social problems and their gathering from the program they have drafted, so too can one speak without any evasion of the right to sabotage the reform begun in Albania.
The removal of the individual as a hierarchy in capitalism means for Albania a hope bereke.
The socialist electoral program, hidden behind social problems, is an open antagonism to what Albania has achieved up to the end and to what Albanians have achieved as individuals. The Albanian people are a young people, and this is another explanation of the natural rapidity of Albanian development.
Not only is Albania doing so in those countries where social problems have been restored, but to a large extent the socialist method of solving them has been avoided. The method of taxation and that of pensioning people lead to a retrograde step with respect to what has been laid down in Albania. People need more space from the state than care from it. The state’s care is suffocating. Socialism is not an ideology of possibility but of impossibility, or of someone else’s possibility to have mercy.

Commentary by the
EURO NEWS television
network on President
Berisha's statements
The Euronews television network
yesterday broadcast all its news
programs with a commentary devoted
to the request of Albanian President Sali
Berisha to begin talks
between Prishtina and Belgrade.
The President calls for the authorities
in Belgrade and Kosovo representatives to begin talks,
Euronews stresses, noting that in an effort to
avoid further conflicts, President Berisha
asked that independent mediators help
implement the talks.
Euronews points out that
tension in the province has risen
recently, after Serbian President
Slobodan Milošević there refugees
and from Krajina.
The Euronews television station
cites information from German authorities, saying that the province
between neighboring Albania and Serbia is 95% ethnically Albanian.
Helmut Kohl declared the number one personality for 1995
Helmut Kohl declared
the number one
personality for 1995
Kohl - Berisha at their latest meeting in Germany
German Chancellor Helmut
Kohl was unanimously chosen on
Wednesday by a jury chaired by former
President of the European Commission,
Jacques Delors, as the number one European
personality for 1995 - the French news
agency AFP reported.
This is an award
bestowed since 1987 and
intended to elevate and reward that European whose work,
achievements, initiative and personality
embody the identity and will of all the peoples of Europe.
Delors thus paid tribute to the extraordinary
personality this distinguished German statesman has achieved. He highlights
the Chancellor’s total commitment in all
strategic directions, which I have valued
the European Community to recognize only moving forward.
For Helmut Kohl himself, this does not
represent a symbolic matter, and his dypikës status,
as before, toward the triumph of wonder,
without having distrust that from time to time, it may
rise up in Europe.
We are dealing with a man
of good fortune toward a powerful
personality, who has been
characterized since his youth
by thoroughly European traits.
Militants who expect to be rewarded for anti-intellectualism
Militants who expect to

Jupe would do well to read his newspaper the right way round, not upside down
The statement by the vice-chairman of the PS,
Namik Dokle, that the PS will reward
ignorant militants and fight
intellectuals had its effect, and on journalists of the Jupe type. Hamdi
Jupe, the man who came to prominence and
began climbing the journalistic career ladder at “ZP” by fiercely attacking in 1990 the young singer Mira Konçi (after it appeared that her concert was shining normally and the party for socialist culture), today is fully entitled to demand
rewards for his anti-intellectual services and
“values.” In reporting the President Berisha
press conference upside down, the journalist of “ZP”
writes that the questions of the journalist of
“RD” were supposedly based on untrue facts.
Specifically, the issue is the fact that at the last meeting of the PS
KD it was decided that the leaders of the PS
who fall under the anti-genocide law should not be included in the lists of candidates for MPs, as one of the two articles published in the newspaper “ZP” against
intellectuals. Comrade Jupe laughed even at the newspapers and at the old self-criticism that these were supposedly not true but had been invented by the journalists of “RD.” But the militant Jupe would do better
if he at least read his newspaper backwards rather than reading it as written, upside down.
Also at the last meeting of the PS
KD it was decided that the genocidists not
run as candidates; all newspapers wrote this on the same day,
not just “RD”, and this is the fact, just as it is a fact that until the meeting the leaders of the PS had declared that they would not recognize the anti-genocide law. So where does Comrade Hamdi find the untruth? As for the attack against intellectuals,
since Jupe does not read his newspaper
either on Sunday or Monday, we are republishing passages from the end of the article that may also be of interest to his anti-intellectual campaign.
“SCIENTISTS AND ACADEMICS HAVE BEEN TURNED
INTO MISERABLE PEOPLE... A NATION WITH
SUCH INTELLECTUALS IS LOST.”
“ZP” 24 December 1995
N. DOKLE “THE PS WILL BRING TO POWER THOSE PEOPLE WHO
HAVE KNOWN HOW TO OPPOSE BERISHA’S POWER AND NOT THOSE WHO
ARE CAREERISTS WHO AIMS TO STAND OUT THROUGH SCIENTIFIC CRITICISM”
“ZP” 24 December 1995
We hope that now comrade Jupe
will understand that the party has declared
war on intellectuals. If this is not the case, as he says, the invention of “RD”
what he calls a lie for a job and better for no one would think to
classify among intellectuals also those who must be attacked as a prerequisite all the time that Jupe and others like him in the steps of the career ladder in the PS.

Tessera three accuses the PSSh
Tessera three
accuses the PSSh
Euronews again broadcast yesterday the news concerning the financial scandals of the socialists of Kurdisk. As this television channel reported, the party of Kurrdisk arrested No. 3 of the PS, who has taken bribes from Japanese funds and businesses. The accusations range from 10 to 20 million dollars.
By bringing these things down on the PS, it is evident that some important members of their Korean party have been anti the model of exploiting activity, and for this party power and it is that the candidates have been scratched and are for power and political career.
