The PS leadership against individual ownership through the distribution of privatization vouchers
Even the opposition that makes democracy in Albania and denounces it
From today, the distribution of privatization vouchers to all Albanians begins to take the right path. In fact, only yesterday Parliament approved a law that gave this process a specific time frame, and it is now clear that it will then continue, on the one hand, with rapid sales procedures and, on the other, with the distribution of vouchers to children, former political persecuted persons, and former owners. The time extension of this process was made in order to give the entire population time to be informed and educated, so that it will be guided by all possible means in the use of personal vouchers to privatize enterprises, land plots, land, shops, etc. Not only that. The law gave every Albanian born before 1 January 1955 the right to receive privatization vouchers worth 300,000 lek each. The law also provides that, with the privatization of enterprises and the sale of small and medium-sized shops as well as part of the land plots according to the area of land under the citizens’ control, other citizens will also benefit. In other words, all those who for one reason or another have not been able to own either land, or a shop, or an enterprise.
If the socialists truly wanted to stand by what they preach about the free market economy, then they would be the first to welcome the broadest possible ownership in Albania, since it creates the middle class, the class of citizens independent of the state. But the opposite is happening. Their leadership, in an openly anti-privatization stance and, consequently, against individual ownership, has received this process with anger. For it, the distribution of vouchers and mass privatization constitute a destruction of national wealth, an unjust enrichment of certain strata, and even the plundering of the people. In the parliamentary debate, this spirit was expressed in harsh tones by PS deputies, while part of the press close to it continues to spread the same propaganda.
In this sense, its stance remains not only anti-economic, but also anti-democratic, because it denies the individual’s right to become an owner and to enter freely into market relations. This is why opposition to privatization vouchers is not simply a technical disagreement over the method of privatization, but a political struggle against the creation of new owners.

The criminal case on the “Solidarity Fund” begins
Doke with $400,000, the tip of the iceberg of corruption in the socialist leadership
This week, by assembling decisive documents and evidence for what is now known in the Italian media as the Albanian scandal involving the “Solidarity Fund,” the Tirana Prosecutor’s Office yesterday afternoon ordered the questioning of the closest associates of former communist leader Ramiz Alia. Among them is his political man and at the same time a leader of the PS, Skënder Gjinushi, who in this scandal emerges as a person implicated by several Italian investigative documents. After several months of silence, the Albanian prosecutorial authorities are also moving to verify the flow of 400,000 dollars toward persons and structures that had direct links to the secret funds of the former regime.
According to the information, the file concerns suspicious transfers, the use of old financial structures, and political cover-up. The investigation is expected to affect a wider circle of names, while the file is described as only the tip of the iceberg of the socialist leadership’s corruption.
The promoter of this affair and its protagonist appears as one of the most active figures of the post-1990 left.

Intercepts are exploding for the first time against all Albanian opposition forces. When it comes to the majority, it seems that there is a special solidarity for it. This situation clearly recalls the hypocrisy being played out with the Albanian issue and the double standards of international positions.
Thus, in the resolution approved at the end of the proceedings of the Assembly of the Turkish Parliamentary Union, opposition to lifting the embargo against Serbia was clearly expressed. The document emphasizes that the situation in Kosovo and the danger threatening the stability of the region require continued international pressure on Belgrade.
The Albanian and Turkish delegations took common positions on the rights of Albanians in Kosovo and the need to protect them from Serbian repression.
SHKSH denounces on a fully factual basis
Promoter of the interceptions, SHIKSH, Blerim Cela
In addition to the Italian media, a special role in this story is also being played by documents and statements that have emerged from various structures of the former regime. According to them, the circle of people involved is much wider than had been thought.
For some of these accusations, institutional verification has also been requested. Some of the names mentioned have been linked to secret funds, logistical support, and networks of influence inherited from the PPSH.
One of the names mentioned is Blerim Cela, described as the promoter of the interceptions and other operational actions. According to the published material, he played a role in gathering and passing on information with a political background.

HISTORY IS WAITING!
Message from the President of the Republic, Sali Berisha
Once again, American and Albanian citizens can view the same development with two different pairs of eyes. For some, the event is a triumph of freedom and democracy; for others, it is a provocation against the communist past. In this spirit, the President of the Republic, Sali Berisha, emphasizes that the time for historical truth cannot be postponed indefinitely.
He points out that Albanians have the right to fully know their past and the perpetrators of the dictatorship’s crimes. His message calls for opening the archives, shedding light on compromised figures, and establishing moral justice.
