Explosion and results of the free initiative
The President of the Republic, Mr. Sali Berisha, in the Krujë district
which implies investment, honesty and correctness.
He remained in! The President inaugurates the “Vali” beverage factory in Irme?
To put up money to buy a stamp, you need 7 coupons; for cement, the shortage is very great; like this, things cannot continue forever, this system must be liberalized. These demands from the entrepreneurs of the Krujë district had one common denominator — “the suggested economy,” in which, throughout the transformative process that has involved our country, work is being done with dedication and results. The Head of State, in the meeting with the leaders of private and state-owned enterprises in the city and district of Krujë, became acquainted with business development in this district.
President Berisha listened carefully to the difficulties encountered in the further development of business and to the entrepreneurs’ demands for the removal of administrative obstacles and handicaps.
Mr. Berisha, in the meeting with the Italian investor Invesstoni [?] Xhani, listened carefully to the use of beverage distribution capacities in our country and in the foreign market.
The Head of State encouraged free enterprise and the results it achieves in increasing employment, boosting production and creating a new economic mentality. Mr. Berisha expressed the view that on the basis of private property and competition, opportunities are created for development and for improving living conditions.
At the new “Vali” beverage factory in the village of Shkallnur [?] in Krujë, the President was welcomed by managers and workers. The factory produces soft drinks and beer with modern technology, with modern lines and with considerable capacity. According to its managers, the enterprise has created jobs and is increasing production. The President praised the investment as an example of the free initiative that yields concrete results.
The demands presented to the President set out the need to simplify administrative procedures, secure raw materials and further liberalize the market. He stressed that the state must support honest enterprise and fair competition.

“In the workplace, to find work, to find production” [?]
In the town of Fushë-Krujë, the footwear manufacturing enterprise was inaugurated yesterday and visits were made to several other production units.
At the shoe factory the President spoke with workers and managers, who talked about the market, exports and the initial difficulties. The importance of new technology and discipline at work was emphasized.

In meetings with traders and entrepreneurs, issues of quality control, consumer protection and transparency in privatization were also addressed. The President called for procedures to be clear and public.
At the end of the visit to the Krujë district, the Head of State expressed his confidence that the free initiative is bearing its fruit and that this district has great development potential.

Fatos Pasha takes it upon himself to return Albania to the year ’91 from Benga
“ZP” speaks in its own dead ends
DASHAT HITA
Yesterday as well, the “ZP” declarations continued — the “ZP” metallic voices in supposed opposition to one another on issues such as the economy, the privatization process and others. In its issue yesterday, “ZP” says that there are “pressures” to shut it down, while the other “ZP” dances to the tune of the embassies and to the “happiness” of “ZP” in order to show that they are “democrats” with a certificate.
Assimilation with PPP? [?] had been programmed in such a way that sometimes with comments with Kico [?] assimilation? and sometimes with fabricated “statements” torn from context it aimed to dress the old and long-outdated “concern” over the “arrogance of power” in modern clothes.
Meanwhile, Mr. Fatos Pasha, the guardian of the mayoralty? [?] of the old one, has taken upon himself the historic mission of returning Albania to the year 1991. With barely contained anger, he attacks every achievement of the country and every positive development, trying to create the impression that everything is in chaos.
Also “cube” another Fatos Pasha, complain that the government has “violated” the constitution by arresting smugglers, while portraying themselves as victims of repression. Other voices from the same choir speak of “crisis” and “poverty”, but forget that when they themselves were in power they left behind ruin, corruption and a lack of hope.
To speak of “pluralism” and “democracy” while at the same time fearing elections is the comic tragedy of “ZP”. Fatos Pasha and his political comrades want an Albania trapped in conflict, because only there are their alibis nourished.
This old propaganda, packaged in new language, can no longer fool anyone. Citizens have chosen the path of the market, private property and European integration. Anyone who seeks to turn Albanians back will face their rejection.
In the end, it remains clear that the real battle is not between “big words”, but between two visions: that of the future and that of returning to the year ’91.
The PS in a marathon of corruption
The PS has the greatest need: the KG of the PPSH, from the end of 1991 until April, 1,510,000 dollars
Changing the declaration of the goods as “salami”, customs has filed it under “shkumbina”. It is a strange but true story, which begins at the end of 1991 and concerns certain food products that were declared differently in order to benefit from customs tariff exemptions. An article in “ZP” tries in a completely deliberate way to distort the facts.
Documents show that during the period December 1991-April 1992 numerous import operations were carried out with inaccurate descriptions of goods, with differences in values and with evasion of payments. In this scheme the KG of the PPSH is also mentioned.
The examples brought in the article include declarations in which a product was presented as a low-tax good, while in reality it was something else. This caused economic damage and unfair advantages.
According to the data presented, the total damage or the sums obtained reached 1,510,000 dollars. The article links this to the old network of privileges and to the lack of transparency in the early years of the transition.
