The stage work has entered the history of its victory and into the boyhood that had a rare stance. It and the main square of Tirana has become a symbol of revolt. In the front row, at the column of the millennium, there where determination was forged, the bastion of the monument was broken, which had become the symbolism of a finished regime. That day of 20 February 1991, five years earlier, was linked to the overthrow of the last dictatorship in Europe. It became the day of free people, of the historic days that had broken out in Albania. It was like the beautiful day of June 1990 when the students of the Artistic Lyceum and citizens of Tirana brought down the bust of Stalin in the center of the capital. It was like the brilliant day of December 1990 when the students of the University rose with courage and determination for freedom. They have rightly been written as symbolic days of the Albanian people, like all the days that shine with the idea of freedom. And 20 February 1991 remained the glorious day when a monument of a collapsed world was brought down by the force of protest. Thousands and thousands of Albanians, men, women, young men and young women, intellectuals and workers, gathered that day in the square to testify that the time of tyranny had come to an end. The symbol of violence turned to dust and the free road of democratic Albania was opened.
