BERISHA - VIII of the Salzburg International Summit
The Austrian press on President Berisha’s visit during the Salzburg International Summit, Austria
BERISHA - VIII of the Salzburg International Summit
Sali Berisha was the only president sought after like a television star by groups of journalists from the most important television channels and newspapers that surrounded him everywhere.
Institutionalization of the clans
In the press statement of the Socialist Party and in the arguments it puts forward in calling for the повторение of the elections of 26 May and 2 June on the claim that they were manipulated, it is noted that this party, particularly through its media propaganda, is trying to shamelessly mask a series of violations with serious consequences that its leadership and organizers committed during the elections.
A large part of these violations and their consequences were caused during the election campaign by the organizations of members of this party, inciting clashes and disturbances, especially at polling stations, in order to hinder a peaceful and orderly electoral process.
Particularly condemnable are the actions to sabotage the electoral process, going as far as the killing of a secretary of the Presidential Council of the PDSh near the polling station in the village of Mbrostar Ura on election day, as well as the organization of the seizure of ballot boxes at various centers. While an attempt was being made to create the false impression that the elections had been manipulated, the very organizers of the violence and violations were trying to obstruct the process institutionally.
Moreover, in their statement it is noted that they try to deny their responsibility and shift it onto institutions. According to our assessment, this shows the institutionalization of clans and the way in which democratic procedures are being sought to be replaced by the logic of street pressure and violent structures.
The new chairman of the Socialist Party, Fatos Nano, who was sentenced by court decision for abuse of office, and his recent statements show a clear orientation toward radicalizing political life rather than participating in normal parliamentary debate.
In the same spirit, calls are made for boycott, for delegitimizing institutions, and for creating an atmosphere of distrust. This does not serve the stability of the country nor its integration.
Notice
There will be no early parliamentary solution
Interview with the Chairman of the Albanian Parliamentary Delegation to the OSCE, Genc Pollo, given by telephone from Stockholm.
- What could America learn from someone like Mr. Lajçak from the disagreement in the Congressional debate?
A mistaken reading of the class, meaning that the former interior minister had been right when he said first that the creation of a joint opposition movement and the PDSh?
Nothing from the OSCE parliamentarians who are following developments in Albania and positively assessing the elections of 26 May.
Nano prepared the counter-rebellion
The leadership of the Socialist Party with a resolution in the plenary, the chairmen blocked
Although their “victory” has been almost complete, it cannot yet be said that the matter is settled. The opposition continues to manipulate the events in the country, insofar as a fully synchronized front of action is concerned. Yet with their stance they are incapable, and with the help of their allies in other structures, they are able to set the machinery of the game in motion. It is not a single front of action but a tool in the hands of its organizers. The encouragement of gangs makes this even clearer.
Their goal appears to be clear: to create a state of insecurity and tension, to discredit the electoral process, and to prepare the ground for continued political pressure.

A government with a vision for the future
Interview with Prime Minister Meksi
The structuring of the government will be in line with the experience gained so far and with the vision for the future, with the aim of taking that path toward modernizing Albanian life and the state, so that as many people as possible are in a position to fulfill their duties

Islami prepares the suitcases
According to a reliable source, the rejected place is proceeding within the Socialist Party.
Kastriot Islami speaks, who has described the decision of the steering committee as an insult and has been hurt and has declared that he will abandon the vice-chairmanship.
Kastriot Islami declares that he opposed the Socialist Party leadership’s decision to replace its vice-chairmen and that he cannot agree with such decisions taken in contradiction to democratic norms.
According to our source, Kastriot Islami has faced numerous accusations from senior party leaders, being regarded as one of the most controversial figures in the socialist camp.
In this climate, he has let it be understood that the next moves may be strong and unexpected.
