The Socialist Party is being destroyed

Mëdyshani sounds the alarm: The Socialist Party is being destroyed The Socialists are armoring themselves The Socialists have begun the "de-bunkering" of the former People’s House building, while one of their factions is trying to detach the young journalists from the PS. He should in no case be presented by excluding him with the measures taken against the member and chairman of the forum of social democrats within the PS, much less declare him a disgrace to himself and the party. Otherwise, it is asserted that he himself has written several articles of such a nature. In this sense, while wanting to cover up his own party actions and attempts to keep alive the old passions of the left, he has put forward such unworthy views for a socialist party with European ambitions. As for the accusation against Mëdyshani that he is supposedly an anti-communist, let us state that in our left-wing socialists there also appear such feelings. We are not talking about any ordinary opinion or disagreement, but about political ideologies; and before such a policy, out of time, concept, and the state of affairs, Albanian society needs clarity and a firm stance. Finally, it seems the time has come for the Socialists themselves to be clear with themselves too. Labels, accusations and denigration cannot replace the debates and their programmatic and political shortcomings. Nothing justifies such a form of expression of their ideological crisis. In the Socialist Party, it seems that accusations against Mëdyshani as an anti-communist, Berisha’s envoy, or anti-socialist are no longer enough. Beyond that, some socialists are also making changes to the former People’s House building, removing the hiding bunkers, while others are engaged in pressure against the new socialist press. As can be seen, their internal quarrel is not only about people, but also about how they understand the left, its role and its relationship with the past.

The external factor is the enemy of the party

The external factor is the enemy of the party The PS secretary declared the closing of backstage dealings for Albanian socialists The slogans he declared in the weekly of the old women of the valley that the party should be strengthened and the masses mobilized are extremely similar to Enver’s words against the external and internal enemies of the Party. Finally, not alone, but among the main speakers of the PS, Mëdyshani has declared that the accusations of their opponents in anti-Enverist and anti-socialist positions have become a common expression of the political debates of the day. For this reason, he calls for the language of exclusions and anathemas to stop. Further on, the author of the commentary notes that the concept of the "external factor" is being used as a justification for every internal dissatisfaction in the party and as a means to attack those who think differently.
